The staff were very pleasant and helpful even though they did not speak English. You could have breakfast until 12.00 p.m. The hotel was 20 minutes walking from the city centre. The rooms on the Lyteyny Pr. side are noisy. There is dense traffic 24 hrs on that avenue. I missed a restaurant on-site. They only have breakfast service. |

The staff were really very nice and helpfull, although not all of them spoke English. I also felt it's a really safe place. The building is old and just looking at the staircase you might be a bit shocked... |

We stayed at the Altburg located at the Liteyny Prospect. The breakfast is good. Some personnel speaks reasonable English. The hotel is 10 minutes walking from the Nevsky Prospect but then you really need to take public transportation to get to river Neva (otherwise it is a good 25 minutes walk on the Nevsky Prospect). There are many busses, trams and trolleys from Nevsky Prospect to the river. From Liteyny you can walk to Karavannaya street which is located in the neighborhood Gostny Dvor. There are al lot of nice restaurants and cafés in this street and a lot of young people and YUPpies. The hotel is located on the third floor of a building. The entrance of the building is disappointing. However the hotel itself is quite clean and contrary to the outside it looks quite good from the inside. The rooms we had were long but narrow. There were other rooms that were fine. |

Very cenral location, helpful and excellent staff, breakfast was available any time throughout the day, clean rooms, comfy beds. Very good value for money! Very noisy street outside (though with closed windows the noise is significantly decreased, but it gets very warm in the room). Room is not soundproof - could hear people in the corridor. Instead of double bed we had 2 twin beds and had to put them together. |

Staff was always smiling and although most of them did not speak English, they did their best to communicate with us. Nice breakfast, too. Small and cosy hotel. The entrance to the building of the hotel is completely ruined. It must be renovated. I think the first impression to everyone is a complete shock! When you enter into the hotel everything is tidy though. |

its location. close to many historical places. 15 minutes walk from hermitage, and nevsky prospekt . center of the city the rooms were exctreamily small. so narrow. they have 16 rooms. for 3 stars hotel rooms should be a bit bigger. they made 2 rooms out of one standard room. the room i booked they called it stndard single room but it was too small to be considard as a single standard . the smallest singel rooms i have ever seen. very poor breakfast. but kind reseptionist.why not . they charged me around 80 usd per night for a very small room. but due to season during white nights the price can be trible orginal. i reccomend it in other times rather than whit nights period in sain petersburg. the prices will be lower |

This is a small family hotel with very friendly staff. An excellent location and an excellent rate/value proportion. I recommend this hotel to anybody going to Saint Petersburg for business or leisure. |

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, as were basic services. The entrance off the street is easy to miss and not very impressive. You must climb several flights of stairs after street entry. |

Location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic. It is especially close to those arriving from Moscow and who have meetings in the central area of the city. Hotel is very comforable and staff surprisingly smiling. |

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The location was central and convenient for public transport. I particularly lied that the hotel provided flexible breakfast hours for late-sleepers, something which suits me very well. |
