The staff are very friendly and helpful especially in giving suggestions and detailed information of where to visit around Moscow
The hostel is behind the street/a building. As there's no sign on the ground floor/near the building entrance, even with the correct address in hand, it was a bit difficult to find it, without help of its neighbours
Great awesome people Great boss is like a friend No asian discrimination Even the cleaner is like one of the family. Its like being at home! The wifi is too strong even inthe room its breaking the bars! I have tried so many other hostels, either you pay for room wifi, or they just dont have good coverage. I am totally going back there even though i rent an apt in moscow. The people make you go back. Privacy, fun, meaningful talks etc. And its one of the cheapest, i dont understand!
Kinda hot and suffocating during summer great if there was a fan. Its good if you had a fruit peeler, tehee! Erm i dont know if it was just me being stupid, or it was a lil confusing first time getting there. The fridge was jjust a lil shocking. Lining up for a shower when in a hurry, its ok if you decided not to later on. Heehee.(at least 3 maybe?)
Cozy and big room with TV, and friendly staff, well-furnitured kitchen
Not enough shower rooms for all the residents in rush hours
good location in the center of Moscow
I am highly not advise this hostel: 1) very noisy (all night and all day) 2) uncomfortable bed
The air in the 14-bed dorm is smelly and unbreathable. A smell mixing dirty socks and dirty underwears. Especially if you go near the heater, where they are just putrefying. Avoid the 14-dorm. I better understood the problem when I tried to wash my own clothes. They charge 50 Rubles for 30 minutes of washing + 50 Rubles for 30 minutes of drying. The admin is carefully watching that you do not over-extend your drying time. It is not enough time to get clean and dry clothes (most of my clothes were still wet after, and not well washed). I felt ripped off my money for this laundry, while getting bad service. This may be why long-term guests (who usually do not spend money easily) use the heater to dry their clothes, despite the long-term consequences it has on the dorm (the smell now probably impregnates the room itself). One possible solution is to give "free" laundry (or put a compulsory "laundry tax") to long-term guests. This will considerably improve the service, for a small cost, especially if guests can mutualize their laundry.
