many English speaking staff, no smoking in the lobby bar
it was very cold and there was not heating, the AC was not working
I simply liked everything about Golden Ring hotel. It is perfectly located in walking distance from Arbat strit and subway satation is just few minutes walk as well. The hotels' staff is very friendly and professional. Everything is clean. The windows are offering fantastic view on the famous building of MMinistry of Foreign Affairs.
I do appreciate the great manners and the kindness of junior staff. specially "Lisa". and hope some of the management staff will learn hospitality personality from their own junior staff.
I will never stay in the same hotel even if they give me a free presidential suit for a month. and even if they pay for my business class tickets. The reason for that is just One manager they have called "Oksana" I am a business Owner, and a very frequent traveler for business i was invited to visit an exhibition by the organizers personally many times, but i failed to arrange time for that till this year, therefore i visited and to my bad luck, i ended up in this hotel. I had a horrible experience towards my check out day. it is a 4 or 5 star hotel i don't remember, and i walked to the reception at about 10 am, telling the gentleman there that i want to have a late check out by 3:00 pm. so he said thats fine. as my plane was later that day. then i receive a call from "oksana" claiming to be the manager at 12:15 pm. asking me to check out maximum by 1:00 pm in a very rude way. so i told her that i have already confirmed that i will have a late check out with the reception and you can't just call me 45 mins before the time you want me out. she ignored what i said, and replied we already sold the room to someone else so make sure you check out by 1 ( plz). so i asked her 5 times, if she knew about the late check out concept in hotels specially 4 and 5 stars ones. yet again, she ignored me every single time i asked, till the 5th time, where she said, this doesn't apply in Moscow. if you want to stay till 3:00 pm. pay half day. which is 250/- USD. then i said, but you have just informed me that the room is sold out? then i continued, any ways, thanks i am checking out now. so i left my room before 12:45 pm. heading to reception to ask about "Oksana" and to thank her for the supper uncomfortable and inconvenient experience i had all because of her. so she actually shouts back at me denying all what she said on the phone and made a scene in front of all other guests. so i said, its my fault i am sorry.

Staff at reception could be a little more friendly.... Food not great.
Located in a very central location, the rooms are clean, modern and have a great view on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the city in general, the tube (Smolenskaya station) is a couple of minutes away.
The personnel at the reception is unfriendly - I don't mean rude, but I did expect a somewhat warmer welcome. Paying for the rooms in advance (and not when you are leaving) is kind of strange. But these are minor complaints, overall it's a great hotel
The location, the big size of rooms, wi-fi perfectly working
bar prices Ladies if dubious character in the bar Too expensive to eat there.
I arrived early in the morning, all was prepared I only had to sign my check-in form. Cleaning service was good they always replaced the towels and other items that wer used or runned out of.
They were quite paranoic about payment. I had to pay the first night in advance and every deducted they deducted one night fee furthermore overcharged me –just in case. They promised to return the surplus amount in 2-3 days. I think this is a bit akward in a 5 star hotel but maybe quite normal in Moscow. The airconditioner did not work in the room and their suggestion was to open the window if it's too hot in the room. Well, again I would expect a little more from that many stars. I would still recommend this hotel because it's location.
Car parking problems.
This hotel has everything as I had mentioned above
It is a large hotel and it probably get requests from clients for 30 taxis a day.I asked at reception how much a taxi to airport was and was quote 3000-3500 rubes.Coming from the airport I also got these quotations ,but I am no fool,i do not mind paying a fair price and a little more.I got my taxi for 1600.I can walk outside the main door of the hotel and first quotation will be 2500R BUT I HAVE NO PROBLEM bringing that down to1700 R .So the hotel as I PRESUME THEY USE THE ONE TAXI COMPANY WHY CAN THEY NOT DO THE SAME.There only fault !!!
Good Roof restaurant with good scene including live music
breakfast was excellent hotels in the most beautiful place in moscow
disinterested staff prices are too high a lot of money was taken from my credit card. I asked no answer..
the location is very good. the room is very clean, nice and comfortable
Service and the view
Everything, especially view from your room. We got a room on 15 floor and can see whole Moscow.
location, rooms, price
1. luck of normal bred in breakfast 2. In Panorama restaurant you are persona non grata when you do not eat 3. Breakfast is not cheap
Found service for dry -cleaning very expensive.my country I live in Poland a jacket to dry clean would be 5 euro----know Moscow is the second most expensive city in the world but working salaries are much akin to Poland.Even my city of birth Dublin to dry clean a jacket is 8 euro.I Have not compared street prices here for dry -cleaning to hotel prices.I Ask at reception price of taxi to airport I was told 60 euro------- these are inflated prices and especially if a hotel was giving all its business to one company.ON My way from the airport to hotel I paid 30 euro (haft PRICE)Apart from these items it a super hotel. For those living in the hotel the sauna and the steam bath area are free of charge only until 16:00.

Very expensive breakfast
Nice room and nice location-near the Metro. Wi-fi worked well.
We arrived on a hot day and the air conditioning did not work in our room--it was 82 F (=28 C)! The staff told us to wait for the room to cool. After several phone calls, the staff said that is the way it is in our hotel! I went down to the front desk and raised my voice with the person. I told him the room was unacceptable. He finally gave us another room and it was fine.
size of room, quick service, very polite staff and excellent location.
