Herzen House  

About the hotel the most important point : It is in a historical bulding where Aleksandr Ivanovich Herzen who was one of the most important Russian thinkers & writers had used to live; this point can inspire you if you are wise. Another point : The location is so central. And the last: The staff is generally helpfull.

Just thin walls; in my first night I was so tried because of my fly but I couldn't sleep well because of the noise of upstairs room. The managers or owners of the hotel take into account to restore the hotel for noise isolation !

Good location, friendly and helpful staff.

The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble from booking train tickets to reserving restaurants to booking shows. Every single member of staff was first class.

I enjoyed my stayiong in Herzen House becuase the sataff was very friendly and efficient and the hotel has an excellent localization.

I only suggest that the hotel should provide more fruits in the breakfast.

Position of Hotel is wonderfull and persons were very kind and helpful.But the most important thing is that was very very clean and they thought and arranged what you need in the hotel with your family.

Adequate room size and furnishings for a 3 star hotel; the location is excellent, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff as well as their command of English are outstanding!

Air conditioning would not go below 18 degrees. A fridge in the room would have been useful.

All the contacts with hotel staff, from reservations, to transportation from the airport, to being there for 3 days were perfect. They could not be nicer, or more supportive. The location is great. 10 minutes to the Hermitage, and 5 minutes to Nevsky Prospect. The rooms are clean, . . WiFi in the rooms and common areas is free. A good breakfast and they have a Samovar Service during the week with good cookies!! You can not ask for a better value, nicer and more supportive people. This is a great find in St. Petersburg

Hotel is located perfectly in central as its only minutes from the Hermitage, St Isaac's Cathedral and Nevskiy Prospect. The boats for the canel cruises and Peterhof are about a 10 min walk. The Opera House is not far away, about a 15 min walk. Corner Store for water is about ten feet away also.

Room did not have a safe, but the front desk was very helpful in securing items at front desk.

The location is excellent being less than 10 minutes walk from The Hermitage & 5 from St Issacs Cathedral. The staff were very helpful & curteous.

The room was very basic. With limited funishings.
