Location was right on a pedestrian-only street in the heart of Moscow, two blocks from the Kremlin and in the heart of the restaurant / shopping district. Room tastefully appointed with modern private bath, mini-fridge and flat-screen. Staff was very helpful and accommodating for things like arranging taxis, and even provided complimentary champagne and chocolates for our daughters birthday. No disappointments at all. Please realize it is a smaller hotel, so there is no lobby to speak of and you must walk up a flight of stairs to the rooms.

Located in a traffic-free "cafe society" lane just fifteen minutes walk from Red Square. In heart of theatre land. Near three metro stations. Owner gave personal attention.

Location No lift. To get to the first floor You have to go upstairs to the second floor and then go down to the first floor. No dining room - You have to choose the breakfast the evening before, and have to choose the time they will take it to your room in the morning. And some of the breakfast options are awfull, and there's the risk that the breakfast You choose will not be available the day after, and they change it with something else. You have to pay in advance when you arrive, so don't choose the breakfast option, because Starbuck's is next door!

Nice clean and cosy rooms. Great location on a historical street, right in front of the famous MHAT theatre, and 2 minutes walking to the Red Square and the Kremlin. Many cosy cafes on the street, 15 seconds from the hotel. Taxi and Metro stations are nearby. The mini-bar was empty :)

The Hotel is on a very nice street in Moscow - very close to the Bolshoi and the Red Square. Pretty nice street with lots of cafes, bars and restaurant. Animated but quite for a good sleep. The staff was really friendly and spoke english. Do not hesitate to ask about restaurant etc.. they will help you and give you some addresses. Also Wifi worked perfectly! Quality and Price I thought was excellent considering the cost of hotels in Moscow. I would definitely go back there and would recommend to anyone-

Liked the location, breakfast in the room. Staff speaks very bad English, offering breakfast in the room - but when I selected egg omlete and coffee - they gave me tea, omelete was nice but they did not serve any bread - not included in breakfast!! Also they gave plastic forg, knife and spoon - like fast food - this definately very bad - should be improved!!

The location and price was unbeatable in downtown Moscow! Just two blocks walk to the plaza beside both the Kremilin and Red Square with a metro station along the way. Although very limited in on-hand information regarding the city itself (brochures, pamphlets), the hotel staff were fabulous in attending to any requests - a bonus was their excellent english. Good sized bed and room. Modern bathroom, very comfortable accommodations. Would definitely stay there again. There was nothing so negative about the hotel that I would not stay at the Hotel Kamergersky again. However, some items of note to future travellers -- there is no lift! And of course, all rooms are above the ground floor so be prepared for stair climbing (good sized bed and room). If you choose to have breakfast at the hotel, understand that it is served in your room and since the hotel does not have an on-site kitchen and brings the food from a nearby restaurant, it comes in a cardboard take out container and you use plastic utensils - otherwise tasty. There is a coffee maker and a kettle in the room along with china cups and saucers - but not tea or coffee to use. The hotel is just an entrance door on a pedestrian through-way, so need to pay attention to finding the hotel your first time as very easy to walk past without noticing.

Booked this hotel for 3 days weekend through booking.com as they had promotional prices on the site. As we arrived they gave us a basement room calling it a "family room!" Which had a very small entry hall with a very small place especially where the bed was located. Didnt like the room offered at all and we requested to change it to another normal double room. Staff's reply was that its the only type of room with promotional prices showing us another room, a completely regular one by the way with no additional amenities, and offered to upgrade us to this room by paying again additionally almost the same of what we already paid. It was clearly a trap to sell their basements which normally could never be sold or sell other rooms at higher prices. In short, being so tired to leave immediately, stayed for first night and left the next day. They happily billed us for one night for the amount paid for 3 nights. In short, they spoiled our mood with their horrible soviet fashioned attitude. Do not be fooled by location and get a decent room somewhere!
