the people were as helpful as thy could be considering the language barrier.
no lighting in the hall ways, poor bedding, mattresses and beds were cots, the picture of the hotel was of the hotel when it was new not in its current condition. In mexico I would expect o pay approx. 20 dollars for this type of hotel. We travel extensively.
Suite room is very comfortable. On the second floor, Wifi is available but on 4th floor, not. You should change your room if you really need wifi. Wifi is always available at lobby and cafeteria. Most of the people are not speaking English but they are very open to communicate.
It's very far from the Sochi station. But it doesn't cost too much. It's about 500 RUB.
There was a grocery store within walling distance. Very clean bathrooms, towels were changed everyday. No problems with warm water.
It was very far from Sochi, took about 45 minutes on the bus to get from the hotel into Sochi, and an additional hour to get to the Olympic venues. The balconies were covered in dust and grime, could have used a good pressure wash. Couldn't get WiFi in our room. Had to stand in the hallway to do anything on the internet. Overpriced for the Olympics, as every other hotel was in town.
only good thing was the breakfast buffet.
This property was completely mis-represented. Rooms were dirty. Mold on walls in bathroom. Poor ventilation. Rude desk staff. No internet in rooms..only in lobby near desk. No open pool or putt-putt. On scale of 1-10 this would be a minus 2.
Staff very helpful - changed rooms as R201 balcony door broken - would not lock. The hotel is dated ( 1974) and could do with a refit would take it above 2 star , but all in all comfy enough. Used as a base for Sochi Winter Olympics for a week. I knew that Dagomys was a way out of Sochi , as lower price reason for hotel choice for Olympics and got what I paid for. I did not expect the Ritz ! Drinks prices good for hotels - Tuborg 100 Rb (£2)
Heating constantly on , had to open balcony doors and use air con , curtains did not fit windows and had to peg a towel to fit the gap!
more 30 min for a checkin at night, using FB was more important that checkin a client, untrained staff.
