Close to Pulkovo and metro station
- Safe - Clean - Very nice staff
- Old equipment - A lot of additional costs (e.g. for using the gym) - Far away from the city center
The rooms were spacious The buffet breakfast was diverse with a lot of things to select from Good Wi Fi connection in the rooms
The hotel was located more that 11 km from the city center and all the other attractions The hotel is very busy and crowded
Not bad location, the restaurant had great beer and live music was okay. The decor of the rooms is great and it was generally quiet and lots of western tv channels.
It took an hour to check in.Whatever delay in a group arrival, clients should at least get an explanation and possibly a concession drink for those who can patiently wait in thr bar.?I expect better from a Radisson managed hotel. The concierge gave me horrible directions on getting to the Peterhof. As a result, lost an hour and a half in the wrong buses.
The housekeeping staff were excellent. Attentive, polite, and great at their jobs. Both our housekeeper Ravshana and her manager Tatiana were wonderful! Also, the gentleman who helped us with our luggage was great.
When we requested an upgrade, we had to wait for 30 minutes to get the room, then the key cards did not work, so we had to wait until a functioning one was found. One of the TVs in the room did not work. A reading light by one side of the bed did not work.
- Staff are not friendly at the Front Desk. - Concierge team have no tendency to help, focus only on excursions. - no bell service. - no Mini Bar in room. - water you have to refill from a dispenser down the hall. - bathroom was not cleaned properly. - soap dispenser in the bathroom in 4* hotel!! wow way too cheap. - room furniture is filthy. - location is a way from everything. - cutlery in the resturant was not clean.
Staff asked to register my friend and pay 700 rubles additionally.
Helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, indoor restaurants available, confortable room, convenient subway (metro)connection to downtown, wi-fi works fine.
Hotel was very clean and tidy. Staff were courteous and helpful but as with most Russians, they don't smile much. However, that is a cultural thing and nothing personal - foreigners just have to accept it. Cleaners were inconspicuous and did an excellent job. Free buffet breakfast was fantastic. We found it cheaper to pay for buffet dinner as well, about £10 each, rather than going into the restaurant next door, which is quite pricey. Sleep quality was excellent. We had a road-facing room on the 7th floor and the noise was non existent with the window closed. After a few days it became hot and stuffy and they happily opened our window for us so we had fresh air coming in for the whole time, which was nice. Overall we were more than happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again if the need arose. As this hotel is located in many countries I would always consider staying with Radisson if they are in the vicinity.
A new law was passed in June this year and the hotel has become a non-smoking hotel very recently. Many Russians, however, can be rather rude, and they don't care about this rule and continue to smoke in the hotel. For this reason, most nights we had the smell of smoke in our bathroom and this was obviously coming from the room next door, or somewhere else close by. It's not the fault of the hotel though. I hope when Russia gets used to this new law that no smoking will be more strictly adhered to by other guests.
Location close to metro and away from the trafic jams in the downtown. Sushi restaurant excellent.
Wifi is a melodrama. Ups and downs. Not stady signal strength and bandwith. Bavarian restaurant is noisy and the quality is just okay, but overpriced.
good business standard, rich breakfast
breakfast was good.
the staff was unkind. I felt like some of them are even hostile to the guests. I don't know why. The shuttle to the down was just once at 12:00. and to the airport was none between 10:30 and 14:00. It means that all the guest must leave before 10:30 although check-out time is 14:00. This hotel is not good for individual travellers.
GOOD MASSAGE SERVICE AT THE SPA.
INSUFFICIENT SIGNS (what is located where?) WITHIN THE HOTEL, POOR WAITRESS SERVICE AT RESTAURANT PAULANER. TOUR ARRANGEMENTS THRU CONCIERGE NOT TOO EFFICIENT!
Good location. Great restaurant.
Worn out rooms. No climate control. Room was poorly cleaned, and contained a foul odor.
It's a great hotel in Saint Petersburg, with a good location - no in city center - but with a convenient access to the center and historical places. The price is very reasonable in comparison to the quality and location.
Really good location, easy to get to airport. Rooms are pretty nice, breakfast is actually great for the price
No (or very weak) air conditioning
Wi-fi was absent
The hotel was clean in general and in the rooms. The beds were comfy and plenty space for two people in the room. Breakfast choices were good for me, OK for my wife. Internet speed was good and easily accessible. We had a dinner in the Paulaner Restaurant and the food was tasty. The free shuttle service both to/from city centre and to the airport were good/prompt.
The water pressure in the shower was not ideal. The waitress in the Paulaner restaurant was not very helpful as we arrived around 22:45 and the kitchen was apparently closing at 23:00 hrs. The swimming pool was not free - this is not clearly stated in the hotels information in booking.com!!! The exact statement on booking.com: "The Polo Sky Club features a well-equipped gym. Guests can relax in the sauna here, or book a massage." We experienced this in two hotels in Russia - in either case, the information presented by booking.com did not reflect that there would be fee for using the gym and swimming pool - never seen this before worldwide! Have to say, would understand this for spa services (i.e. massage/sauna etc) but not for gym and pool! Having a pool/gym definitely influenced our hotel choice but did not know we had to pay for these services!!! Would like to see some feedback on this from booking.com too!!! I think booking.com needs to make some effort to ensure actual/up to date information is provided as when you turn up at the hotel, it becomes a blame game and the hotel crew says you booked via booking.com and they forget they are effectively in partnership with booking.com! - both parties should take responsibility for any incorrect/wrong/unclear information, as these effect both customers choice before and after their experiences!
rooms are terrible. need many upgrades. no air conditioning. old hotel.
staff is not helpfull
If you go to a conference which is located in the same hotel (as it was in my case), then the choice is perfect, as the building is just 10-15 mins from Pulkovo airport. BTW I had chosen public transport (mini-bus K-39) to get to the place from the airport; its cost only 36 RUR (less than 1 EUR!!!), so it is a bargain :-)
1) The hotel was full of people because of the venue, hence I got problems with Wifi constantly 2) I have ordered a room with a double bed, but they provided me with a twin. 3) A window in my room was broken, so it was impossible to close it. I was lucky to stay in the room in summer... :-) 4) We had arrived in the hotel 1 hour before the official check-in (i.e. 14:00) and had been asked to wait till 14:00 as there were no a room for us.
All we had been satisfied since stayed for 1 week in this hotel in St.Petersburg.The real 4 stars hotel with suite room we gotten after moved to a hell room from NIVA-SV hotel. Location easy to reach up by bus, only €2 eur for 2 persons. Breakfast was complete, European typically which hard to find out in Russia. Recommend for you, specially for European who poor in Russian language!
Only airport shuttle with time schedule had not come every year so from and back airport we always missed then need to pay extra taxi cost RUB 163 2 times.
Noisy from higway outside. Window can not be completely closed.
The Staff: Super helpfull, very dedicated and friendly. Great Job!
No individual control on the ventilation system. Thanks God I was able to open a window, otherwise it the room would have been an oven. This needs to be upgraded.
