Skipper Hotel  

Hotel is in one of best place of the Kaliningrad City. Not far from city center by Taxi 6-8 min. 15-20 min. walk. Near of the big green park, Historic Church and River nice place for walking. Room is not big but its ok shower cabin is too small.

The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was clean and tasteful.

Very good location, friendly stuff, beautiful view of the river and Cathedral. Fish Club restaurant was excellent! For my opinion - the best restaurant in Kaliningrad with gourmet kitchen, beautiful interior and impressive vine list.

Breakfast begins too late - at 8 am. It is not convenient if you are in a business trip.

The breakfast in the fish restaurant was for additional money but it was very good!

it was a unique hotel. out of the way yet right next to the largest cathedral in town and on the river. staff very nice. breakfast good. 1 english channel on the flat screen tv. hot water in shower. across from a good grocery store. easy public transport except to airport.

Everything was ok, except for voice-penetrable walls and don't get fooled by the invitation to dine in their restaurant, where for a simple dinner, you'll have to pay as much as you'd pay for a two-day stay in the same hotel.

Great place, large and clean rooms - very professionally set up. The restaurant is to die for, best meal we have had on our 5 month trip!

The staff did not know enough about the area (even where the hotel or the Baltic Sea was), and this was made harder by the fact that there is no tourist information anywhere in Kalliningrad.

Friendly welcome. Nice hotel in the city center overlooking the river and the cathedral. Located in a very nice area that has been renovated. A fine piece of urban renewal. The room is clean and there is airconditioning. Breakfast is in a bar next door. Nice view, good food, but very sparingly with the coffee (only 1 cup).

The location was good, our room overlooked the river and we had a small balcony. Breakfast was served in the lighthouse next door which was not a problem for us. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed our stay there.

The staff were excellent - the girl at the desk spoke very good english, and the staff in the restaurant and bar were very attentive and friendly. The owner was also on hand to ensure everything was running smoothly. We had a nice room with small balcony overlooking the river (they all do). The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, with all the necessities you'd expect. The hotel itself has some great features which all add to its originality and personality The highlight of the trip though was the restaurant - The Fish Club. We arrived back late from our trip to the Curonian Spit. The staff insisted it wasn't a problem as they serve until midnight. The dinner and wine menu is excellent. We had a gorgeous relaxed dinner, the fish is exceptional. The terrace outside is also a lovely place for a drink - it overlooks the river and it was lovely to chill there after our arrival until our room was ready (we arrived early). Breakfast is also a novelty as its served in a lighthouse next door. All in all a very original and great experience.

The only problem is the noise between rooms. We were incredibly unlucky to have what seemed like 10 kids next door shouting, playing with the tv and running between rooms from early morning.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Loved everything about it! Prices are low, yet rooms are specious, cleaned everyday and cosy, Wi-Fi is very fast, minibar is cheap and full of every sort of drinks, the view out of the window is stunning (it is the most beautiful part of town), hairdryer is in the room for free now, english speaking and very nice helpful stuff. Next to the hotel you can find great restaurants such as First Coffee, Don Chento, Fish Club! When in Kaliningrad I'll stay only at the Skipper hotel!

Perfect location, good view, several nice restaurants locate near, breakfast available, cozy furniture in rooms.

prices for rooms are slightly higher then the level of comfort, no mirror for make up except in bathroom, too small shower cabin, pure finishing in rooms.

Perfect place, very cozy rooms, good vine & chic interiour at the restaurant downstairs, beautiful sight from the window.

Early morning employee with high-pressure water hose washed the pedestrian way, that was quite loud.

There is fantastic fish restourant in the firmat floor.

Good value for money, hotel is situated at the bank of the river aclose to the Cathedral. No problem with free parking. There's a shopping center in fron of the hotel (300 m) Restaurant is expensive but very good (mainly fish)

Nice hotel, excellent location, very good value for money (I would recommend standart + room). It´s situated very close to city center and to the main attractions, has on of the best views in Kaliningrad.

The hotel needs some cosmetic reparations, very noisy conditioner right over the bed (just couldn´t sleep the first night). The receptionist was not very friendly and didn´t look very happy to arrange a taxi for us. There is no place for early breakfast nearby so we went to "Mayak" café with was recommended to us on the hotel reception. It was just as bad as other guests said in their comments: cold food, very bad service, had to wait for ages, etc.

Location is perfect, public transport just a few steps away but despite this, quite and peaceful surroundings. Nice view over water and the town of Koenigsberg from the balcony. Staff is friendly and helpful, all speak English and in addition Maria speaks Swedish almost perfect. We liked the hotel very much.

We did not find anything to complain about but noticed that the hotel is located in a high cost area. Eating and shopping is much more economical a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

Etwas laut von der Flusspromenade, doch das ist eben so bei der Lage.

Великолепное расположение, все номера с видом на реку, хороший дизайн номера, очень качественное обслуживание, быстрый инет, завтраки просто шикарные!

Ну скорей не то чтобы не понравилось, но цены в ресторане рыбный клуб внизу отеля не очень гуманные.

Gute Lage, tolle Sicht auf den Pregel, Dom ganz in der Nähe, Tram in die Stadt hält direkt vor der Tür. Superfreundlicher Service an der Reception.

Zimmerservice leider gleich null, schade.
