close to haram area , clean and comfort as most of Medina hotels are crowded
reception not professional need more training to know how to deal with customers
Nice and clean
- good location. - Excellent staff. - v. good food. - good facilities.
when groups for Haj came they didn't organise their residence in rooms fast which made a crowded noise. anyway this just was for Haj it is not high negative.
Excellent location Excellent food and Chef Clean Excellent concierge service and door keepers Excellent Security Management and Parking Space
I booked 2 rooms that I was excepted to get latest at 4pm. I arrived on time and received the first room only at 5pm and the second at 8 pm. I order foods from room services and what was delivered to me was different from what I order (e.g. getting tuna sandwitch instead of tuna salad, etc.). Two of my friends went the first morning to take the breakfast and were almost humiliated as they were told that no breakfast unless they paid despite the fact that our booking included full breakfast for 2 people in each room. They had to come back to their room and check the evidence of their already made payment of breakfast. Anyway, the front desk people seems to non-trained and unprofessional given the nature of the hotel (5 Stars). Out of all Intercontinental hotels that I visited (Johanesburg, Taif, Jeddah, Beirut, Riadh, etc.), the one of Madina is far from meeting the 5 * standards in terms of dealing respectfully with clients.
They preformed to the standard of the intercontinental
No exercise or fitness room.
Location, pricing (may be, because we got a good deal)
No where close to the usual Intercontinental standards. This would not even qualify for more then 3 star outside Medinah or Mecca. I guess that's the usual with these places due to volumes of guest they need to manage.
Location is close to the haram, and is a short walk to the ladies entrance. Its right in the marketplace, and is easy for vehicles to get to. The hotel was clean and had courteous employees. An amazing deal for what we paid for.
Very small car parking, unclean room
Very close to the Prophet's Masjid. Near stores and shops so it was easy to purchase things.
no parking spaces
Ithe reception staff were very helpful; The beds are comfortable & the room is spacious The food was extraordinary and delicious
Room service was poor; the room lacked slippers; housekeeping staff need to be better
-very bad smell in the bathroom even after i told them to remove it -when i arrived there it was 2.50 pm, they told me to stay to 4.00 pm to make check in and i asked them if i chose while booking for an earlier check in they told me it didn't make any difference ! The room was beside the elevator and it was too close to the extent we could hear every single person coming up/down and also the children noise in front of the elevator.
Distance to Masjid e Nabawi. Staff behaviour & room .
Place and treatment
Water flow in bath room is week and one of the lambs wasn't working and the lighting is poor.
Every thing was good, only one request to broadcast sound of all 5 Adhans in corridors.
Good location, value for money
Breakfast is expensive
rooms slightly run down. Seem kinda old
Unable to handle Ramadan-time rush, despite charging an arm and a leg
Free breakfasts and Iftaar Mr. Ali and the manager incharge treated as v well.
The receptionists did not treat the customers very well. We reached Medina at around 2:00 PM and they asked us to wait till 4:00 to get the room. There was not much space for family to sit and wait esp for the kids. Later we somehow contacted the manager who asked the saudi receptionists to give us any room even if its not ready. The parking was very congested and it was packed already. Got my car scratched while parking. The elevators are small and usually busy. They put lots of stuff in the mini-bar without informing u that it will be charged. Checkout took a lot of time. Final Advise: If have money, give it to the poor instead of staying here.
Kindly tell them to behave well ... we are paying money, not coming for free. Also staff response is slow. I am coming madinah & staying in this hotel from last 5 years, but 2014 was disappointing for me.
Poor ventilation in the lobby. U feel as if entering the hotel kitchen the minute u step in the lobby -Bathrooms very old ,stained and dirty. Sink was blocked. The room was dark because it had 3 busted pulps out of 5. The pillowes were smelly when I remove the pillow case there were stained. My room was next to elevator all the noise of pepole waiting can be heard. Not to forget children running and shouting in corridors.
