Rating it as 5 stars is wrong, to be fair it should be 3 stars according to its facilities and quality, it’s too far from Al Masjid Al Haram and no taxis in it's area. The tunnel mentioned in the website is for cars and it's open only during Hajj and Ramadan period. it has a useless kitchenette which has only microwave oven which you cant use because there is nothing else i.e. plates, glasses, cups, kettle, tea, coffee or cutleries so the only thing you can do is to warm up your last night junk food. There were no slippers, the shower head is loose, the faucets are shaky, shampoo tube was half empty (used) and no vanity kits

The hotel is on Kudai road, on the other side of tunnel. The saptco shuttle is very frequent and take 2 sar per person one way. At prayer timings, the shuttle is crowded so you have to wait for your turn to climb in. The hotel furnishing is very good, definitely 5 star. While the hotel furnishing is 5 stars, the service is definitely 2 stars. Firstly there are no shops/restaurants in walking distance. Thus you have to either eat in the hotel or eat near Masjid Haram. The food prices are definitely high. Secondly, for 4 days and 3 nights, no body picked up at the 3 reception numbers !!! Room service dining number was always attended. Not all staff speaks English and thus quality of service varies from the staff to staff.

The hotel was very comfortable. Though in the start there was some miscommunication, as we thought taht this was Le Meridien, which is 250 mts away from the Haram. Nonetheless, it had very prompt and punctual shuttle buses running every 30 minutes which made visiting the Haram much easier that we had earlier thought. Breakfast was good, though it lacked variety, it tasted good and had fresh breads. Reception staff and some other staff struggled with English, otherwise everything else was fine.

The executive suite was spacious, clean & tidy; just lacks the kitchen tools, for those who want to stay long I’d recommend to cal the hotel to arrange for it. There is nothing wrong with the hotel; however considering the type of rooms & services offered in this holy city; then the location of this hotel “only location” would be my second option.

Clean ,spacious and nice rooms. We went for hajj(pilgrimage) and we were given initially tower eight which was extremely noisy and buisy. We were waiting more than 10 min to go get the lift down. Then we went to the reception and we were given tower one which was quiet. Poor service . We stayed twice in the hotel each for 2-3 days . The remote controll was not working in both rooms. No iron. Nice rooms as you expect for 5 stars but miserable service which does not fit for 5 stars. Some of the receptionst were unhelpful at all.

Its location.....get into the tunnel and you are right in haram. But the saptco bus service some times makes you to wait in front of hotel ,,,,,,,,,,no bus waiting shade ...........you might end up with sun burns The service .............very poor............no one realize that the very business they are in is of hospitality ,,,,,,meaning humbleness and smiling faces are first and foremost criterion to be on duty. Staff seems to be rude and stiff handed. Does not gel well the reputation of spg chain.

Hotel Meridien Towers Makkah fare worse than five-star hotels, in terms of service, bad, and the Roman Service fare worse than, just washing and ironing service is excellent, it is from bad to fare worse. And treats guests who booked through booking Worse treatment, either from booking directly at the same price get the breakfast buffet is free and morning meal buffet is free and service buffet and tea and coffee and sweets free of charge, either from booking has no share of these services. I asked them shown in booking that serve breakfast and suhoor added 15% on the daily price, but they refused this and got us on more than 43% of the price of the room where in me buffet breakfast 365 SR with the knowledge that the buffet without weak as he is a mere appetizer starter and and dish rice chicken, one perpetuates the grace of God. The same applies to the rest of the service. The place is too far from campus, but there is a service of mass transit Saudi hosting service, but the service shift is so far the positions of mass transport Haram on far away in the basement and on the pilgrim to walk long distances and climb stairs of marble rather than escalators Electrical to get to Haram and vice versa to return as well as with the jam with the people in collective buses. Generally do not advise the faithful pilgrims housing

The food is well prepared and quite enjoyable. The staff deliver with a pleasant air and are very courteous. Getting a response when you call reception or any other number is a test of patience. This however, could have been due to the fact that it was Ramadan period and the afternoons are for sleeping. The receptionist is also not very fluent in english and getting your needs across is very difficult. This is disappointing because the hotel is a business hotel of an international repute.

The food is very poor. We ordered food from the room service menu and they got us the wrong order. The club sandwich was very bad taste. We also order cheesu burger and they gave us chicken burger without cheese and the burger tasted and felt like a rubber burger. The place is clean but the service and the food really sucks...I never thought a Le Meredien Hotel would serve such food for customers !!! The food is very poor. The facilities are beautiful. The rooms are meticulous, the staff appears willing to help, although the effort on their behalf is weak. The iftar is not included through booking.com but after convincing they added it free of charge. All staff minus reception is very friendly. Some receptionists are very friendly others are the extreme opposite. Some of the receptionists are quite rude. The location is terrible during Ramadan. Their shuttle cannot access the tunnels to the Haram during Ramadan, and the buses that go are government owned, overpacked, people push, shove, and kick their way onto it. If you have any emergency requiring refund for days not spent, they are unwilling to help, which in reality is unislamic.
