- location - neat lawn & garden -
- the fact that the room I was given wasn't exactly what I booked for - when given another roomto make up for their mistake, it's even worse. The ocean view was blocked by oovergrown garden. The bathroom was disgusting. - room service too slow, took an hour - value for money, poor
Safe clean hygeinic environment. Comfortable rooms. Great location. I always stay here when I visit Honiara
Internet speeds quite slow (although this is not the fault of the hotel-it is just what is available in the Solomon Islands
Food was top notch, peanut choc bars on the pillows a bonus. Staff were friendly, and the room had a view out across the bay. Middle of the 'Westerner' end of town.
Took more than 5 attempts to load a tweet, downloading even attachment-free email was impossible. After spending AUD$10 per day for the first two nights, I gave up and bought a sim and a data package down the road, which was significantly faster.
Great and helpful staff. Very clean house. Super service in all things. This hotel is making always, what is possible on the beautiful Guadalcanal Island by Solomons. Thank You for all. Andreas
Honiera is not a resort area so it is a pleasant hotel if you are on a business trip. Restaurant serves 3 meals. There is a pool that we did not use. Rooms are pretty basic.
For a one night stopover, this hotel was fine. It would not be our choice if we were looking for a vacation spot. The city is pretty much 3rd World and there is not much to do or see. It was fine for our purpose.
Very well looked after
The Internet works poorly in the rooms and needs to be improved
Initial denial that our booking existed, and assertion that they were fully booked.! Overcome after some argument.Lavatory cistern leak that made floor lethal.
Need to improve the breakfast choice. Not enough fruit. Food in the Bain Marie looked like yesterdays left overs. Not enough choice of breakfast cereals
Choice of food quite poor
Good location - walking distance to other hotels, Breakwater restaurant, Telecom, banks, ATM etc Probably the nicest hotel in Honiara Good food in nice open air restaurant View of the sea Nice low rise blocks with 9 rooms each Comfortable room with balcony Problems in the room were rapidly fixed
Service in the restaurant and at reception was patchy Was not so straight forward to eat at the poolside, which was also seaside (they had to bring food from the restaurant) VERY slow internet. Plus you had to pay for it. Was pretty expensive for what you get and compared to alternative hotels
Very central and safe location. Staff friendly and helpful. Poolside bar & barbecue great venue.
Daily room cost was expensive. Limited dining options. Noisy aircon in room and no way to open main windows for airflow unless also open for intruders and mozzies. Noise from open-air concerts right next door.
Modern, air-conditioned rooms. Access to gymnasium. Nice big pool. Gardens are lovely.
Had a little trouble communicating with some of the reception staff.
the freshness of the food staff very helpful
steak was not cooked well internet quality very poor
Friendly and smiling staff
On check out it took time to settle the bill, an additional levy was added but booking through Booking.com it was inclusive. This was not picked up by the checkout staff. Tea and coffee supplies in room were not re-stocked each day. Bathroom towels were not replaced each day.
The cleanliness, location and.....the AIR CONDITIONING!
An oasis of western comfort relatively centrally located in Honiara ...
Having booked at a special booking.com rate, the hotel intended to actually charge the full standard hotel list price rate when it came to issuing the bill
Beautiful location - sea views, city centre, walking distance to most attractions Heritage Building - restored Governor General's Residence Friendliness of the staff
View of ocean and gardens
Limited choice at breakfast and coffee was extra (not included in continental breakfast).
A great improvement on hotels in Honiara, well done. Maintaining standards is always a challenge at this location it is something you need to continually address with your staff. Well done on overcoming the noise issue from next door.
No mosquito spray in room.
