Pool, cooperating staff, owners, Billiards, views, terrace, breakfast.
driving to and from the lodge, as its on steep hill.
Value for money. Euro 18 dinner per person, free breakfast. Good view with swimming pool n snooker. The lady named Venessa was little bit too serious looking n not so friendly.
The lodge didn't provide drinking water during the stay. Only on the first day a bottle of water was provided. It seemed quite weird. And one must rent a car in order to move around from the hotel.
The accommodation had a great view and we really felt like we were in a scene from Jurassic park with the vegetation around us. Rooms we clean and neat, fitted with air-conditioning (really needed!). Staff were friendly and helpful.
Poor POOR driving directions if you are driving yourself!! After searching 2 hours We finally stopped to ask for help at a hotel and the manager there kindly phoned Albizia for us. After about 15minutes of conversation on the phone the manager's response to me was "Not a very nice man. Not helpful at all" - I gathered that she actually spoke to the owner. It would have been great to have wifi in the rooms rather than just in the pool/reception area.
Comfortable (though broken) bed, good a/c
First thing, the location is horrible. Unless you rent your own 4x4, getting around is nothing less than a nightmare. The property is located on a mountain slope and getting up and going down is no joke! Secondly, don't rely on the wifi provided by this guesthouse. The modem is located too far away from the rooms and even when you sit right next to it in the lounge, it simply does not work. Next, the breakfast they give is sparse to say the least. They won't give you more than one egg with your toast, unless you pay them per egg. Lastly, don't expect any extras or favours at this establishment. Unlike other properties in the vicinity, they will not offer transportation (or anything else for that matter) for free. Besides the one bottle of complimentary water on arrival, you have to open your wallet for EVERYTHING.
The condition of the Lodge was very good and the staff are very helpful and very nice.
Breakfast is poor. Need to have more quality and more choice.
The condition of the Lodge was very good and the staff were helpful
It was a bit far from Town.
Nice view with good value for money in spacious appartment; has WIFI
Hard to find and to reach without car, extremely steep road towards the lodge's entrance; aircon did not work properly
You must have car.... All ok
I liked the quiet location and the fact that we had our own kitchen. Anything that we needed was provided promptly by the staff. They even provided transportation for the occasional short trip (i.e., for groceries, into town for our wedding ceremony!)
It was a bit remote to be without our own vehicle; the 2 bedroom apartment was in a separate building from the main hotel and the climb up/down the hill was quite steep and dangerous at night. Perhaps some stairs built into the hill would alleviate this?
I don't like the location
Very difficult to reach, no sign boards. Roads are very steep height, difficult to drive or walk. I don't suggest for family with kids as road is very scary and after 6pm reaching would be not that easy, if it rains then it is gone and sometimes trees also fall down on the road no one will be there to help also.
I must say that its one of the best places to stay at Mahe. The view from the rooms is breathtaking and the swimming pool is an additional luxury. The staff and the owner are extremely courteous and helpful in every regard. Overall, a homely atmosphere and an excellent place to relax.
Nothing at all.
Nice views and dinning is available on site.
Not so easy to find at night and the road upto it is very steep.
Staff was really nice! Rooms were clean, amazing view.
We later found a place that was much closer to the sea and cheaper. I would therefore say that price should be a bit lower in Albizia, but it is just personal point of view.. :)
Hardly anything!. Property is very poorly constructed. The rooms are very dark and dull. You can't name it a hotel nor a lodge!. Not safe to go out at night after 6pm if you don't have a car. The property is high up in the mountains and not suited in an easy access once you get off from the bus stop. The staff are brilliant I must stress and always look to help. However Pictures can be deceiving and I certainly wouldn't recommend nor go back to the lodge again.
clean rooms, free wifi, friendly staff
Excellent views and location. The owners made us feel like part of the family, we had a lovely dinner and the food was awsome. The surroundings are amazing, close to the beach and restaurants. Our room was big and comfortable. I would definetely go back and recommend it to my friends and family.
The hotel is located in 5 minutes on foot in the mountain from the main road on which it is possible to reach in 10 minutes prior to the Airport and and for 25-30 to Victoria. Quiet quiet place from which it is convenient to reach any point of the island
Very cool rise
