The beaches here are not THAT great as for the number of people there. There are multiple smaller and bigger shops, markets etc. - I highly recommend to rent a car as everything is at least a 30 min walk via a steep hill. The food in restaurants is quite expensive, so I recommend looking for Take aways in Google maps (in a restaurant a burger might be 280 Rupees, in a takeaway only 40 Rupees).

Nice place, beaches there are small, not a lot of people.
Nice place, beaches there are small, not a lot of people. I was there in a rainy season, so there were more seaweed in the sea, good on this place was, that there were smaller waves than on west coast. It's not touristic place.
The west coast is more touristic, there were more markets with souvenirs, food, beaches are longer with restaurants.

It's not too far from the Airport (about 10 minutes by car) which makes it ideal if leaving for an early morning flight. Not the best beach, but two beaches further south (Anse Royale and Anse Forbans) are about a 15 minute walk or a very quick car or bus ride. Limited restaurant options in the area and shopping (other than for snacks) is non existent.

My favorite spots were the quick bites cafe you can just grab a quick bite from the place along the way with so many options from pastries, salad, cakes, burgers and ice creams.
My favorite spots are strolling along the white sandy beaches of Pointe Au Sel, its very easy to get around there are places that has signs along the roads which tells you were you are and where you're heading.

Pointe Au Sel is located in the south east of the island, very quite place full of nature and good sea even not perfect for swiiming but better to enjoy the view and the sound, you can't walk around in the evening because there's nothing to see or to do. Is not far from airport and is good for move to Victoria or in the other coast even the road are not so good (better to rent a small car will be more easy to drive)
