    Environment (exotic)

the way we were welcome. Owners does not live on site (you can be absolutely alone during the night in the middle of the jungle...). Rooms, and especially bathrooms, were not clean. No place to leave personnal belongings in a secured box.

Charles and Anneliese are wonderful persons, we loved the way they care about their guests. The Dinner was brillant every night- espacially the sharkfish! It's helpful to rent a Car, otherwise the Apartment is a bit far away from everything. But it is definitly a wonderful Place to stay some nights. Thx guys for this amazing Week and for celebrating St. Patricks Day with you, See You!

Quirky eco lodge looking like old colonial house veranda'er all round built into hillside in very leafy environment. Owners, staff and guests very cosmopolitan and very friendly. Evening meal was excellent and reportedly the breakfast was also good and of a "fry up" nature (very unusual for Seychelles) but we left too early on the morning of our one night stay to sample.

Very steep drive - not for the faint hearted!

Beautiful wooden cottage in the middle of the jungle. Do not go there unless you are a bit of adventurous nature. Personally I loved this place - I dislike the common tourist villages where I feel like a part of the tourism industry. This is absolutely secluded lodge far from any services. Car is a must unless you're fine with walking 3km to the nearest store or with the mangos and bananas falling on your head. Great value for money - one of the very few reasonably priced accommodations on entire Mahe. The rooms are spacious and the place has a good vibe. As a bonus you get cheap drinks at the bar. Bartender's jokes and magic tricks included :) Will return for sure if I make it to the Seychelles again.

No A/C, but after the aftershock from the drastic change of climate (travelled there in december from Europe) it was pretty ok just with the fan.

It is certainly very nice budget place in remote location. The owners are really nice people, very helpful. Room was big and the bed was clean, large and very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, but small. We got set of fresh beach towels and our linen was change daily. Good value for money, but no luxury.

You get what you pay for. The location is very far away from the airport, located close to Lazare Bay, that is very bad for swimming. We gave the ride for other guests every morning to get to the shop / beach. You want nice sea - you have to drive. The room had only shutter wall, was fully open to the reception - no sleep after 7am. Shutter wall mean also mosquitoes and no AC. In our room there was also no TV (not we needed), and Wi-Fi was rather moody and unreliable. Pool was tiny and dirty.

The owners are were excellent hosts. The lodge is beautifully decorated and evokes a sense of an eco lodge in a forest. If you need to rent a car to explore the entire Mahe Island (which is recommended), the lodge can easily arrange one for you.

WiFi is very poor. But is not a big problem.

Charles and Anne-Lise - the owners of Lazare Lodge - were excellent hosts who made my stay on Mahe Island simply wonderful. Their warmth and generosity at making me feel welcomed at their lovely lodge was the highlight of my trip. Charles not only regaled me with stories and jokes but cooked me a mean steak too! The lodge itself is beautifully decorated and evokes a sense of an eco lodge in a forest. It is well located within walking distance to the nearby beautiful beaches of Anse Soleil and Petit Anse. If you need to rent a car to explore the entire Mahe Island (which is recommended), the lodge can easily arrange one for you as they did for me.

Nothing in particular except maybe that internet was not available all the time - but maybe that's a good thing too!

A swimming pool and an opportunity to use it even at night. Nice view at breakfast. Towels for the beach.

There is no glass in window that is why all sounds in nights are so loud and it is difficult to sleep. No air condition.
