Hotel Arena was a very reasonable price with nice facilities and a good breakfast. Location was very good. The walls were a bit thin so I would wake up every time somebody closed a door in other rooms

Though the place was under some construction, it was modern and clean/well-appointed. Quite clean. Even though one side of the hotel backs up onto a courtyard full of apartments, it was amazingly quiet. Very friendly staff who phoned in advance of arrival to check on my arrival. Excellent selection of television channels (though this is not super important it was useful to me). Looks and impressions can be deceiving - this place does not look that great from the outside but is undergoing a good bit of renovation. It is a surprising (in a good way) property.

The Hotel which was stated as a 3 star hotel was little more than a hostel/faulty towers operation. How this hotel could be classed as a 3 star hotel is beyond me. I have stayed in better hostels as a student. The hotel states it is city center when in fact it is a €12 taxi journey to the center. The entrance is off a side street, up steps and into a reception which is more like that of a dodgy office. The room which was in the mid price range for Gothenburg was absolutely tiny. In fact my bathroom in my house is bigger than the entire room, I think the room was about 12 foot by 7 foot including the bathroom. In addition everything in the room was the cheapest quality possible. The pillows were half the size of a normal pillow (maybe this was to make the bed seem bigger), the mattress was at best 2 inches thick, even the towels were tiny. The pictures which are on your website are in no way representative of the actual hotel. In the corridor there is some timber flooring which does not meet the walls aka there is a 3 inch gap from where the flooring stops and the wall begins, this is all the way around. I actually took a picture of this to show people as it was so bad you could do nothing but laugh. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again if I got it for free. I usually wouldn't be bothered wasting my time commenting on hotels but I am so annoyed with the standard of this hotel I feel I have to, I would have been better off sleeping in an alleyway. If there was a way of getting my money back I would request it and give it to charity.

Spoke good English, called me to confirm arrival, and allowed early check in as I came off a morning ferry. Nice new room on 7th floor ( only lift to floor 6, and a flight of steps on entry). Bright modern comfortable room, nice bed and free fast wi fi. Good breakfast selection. Good value for Gothenberg. Has own parking, limited access height 2m maybe, and secure and cheaper than street parking. Nothing. May be awkward for disabled visitor. Street parking expensive. Outside looks shabby but dont worry about this.

It was somewhat clean The hotel was under construction, a fact I was not told before or after I made the reservation or when I did my check in, I found out the next day when I had to wake up to a drilling machine over my head at 8 A.M. The staff did nothing to decrease my discomfort, and acted as though I was complaining about nothing. I could not sleep or relax while staying there. In essence, I paid to be disturbed and stressed on my vacation. I left the hotel more stressed and tired than when I arrived.

Great location, good value, helpful staff. The lighting in the bathroom was by motion detector, which meant you could count on the lights going out when you took a shower.

Pretty good breakfast. Good location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. The bed was kind of squeaky, and I think they could provide separate soap and shampoo dispensers.

At a first look you think you are in a hotel paid by the hour but if getting to the new renovated rooms it’s a really nice hotel. Bathroom has floor heating and a dimmer in the bath is really nice in the morning. Also big flat screens and good beds and ok breakfast.

it seemed we got a brand new room on the 7th floor with a balcony (with the bath tub in the bedroom). The staff was friendly and the breakfast offered a lot of choices (and it was tasty!). Only 10-15 minutes walk from the city center. The parking was not very cheap at 150SEK per 24 hours.

They have a good breakfast They put a high price because Bruce Springsteen was playing in town. We booked a 4 people room and found a very small room with 2 individual beds + a sofa-bed, which had an individual bed, and they used the sofa itself to make the 4th bed: Not comfortable at all... They forgot to clean the room.... but I think this was only a mistake

Friendly staff, good design of a room, simple, but OK Dirty lift, stange light switch in a bathroom, it has movement sensor, and dies after 10 min, but when you take shower, you are far from this sensor, so light goes off, and you have to go out of shower cabin to get light again. And I did not find any way to adjust at least time for the light.location is so-so, but if you can use tram or bus, then OK.Not far from the Avenue by train.
