The former home and laboratory of Alfred Nobel is located close to the Karlskoga Hotell & Konferens. So are Karlskoga’s shops, restaurants and all local transportation.

The breakfast is great. The renovated rooms are a noticeable improvement from before. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Central location makes for easy walking to a surprising number of restaurants, including Thai, Indian, Chinese, Swedish, several pubs, pizza places to name a few. Lake is a ten minute walk away. Decent sized grocery store is a two minute walk away.
The noise on some Saturday evening parties goes on early into the morning. There is no refrigerator in the room.
In the renovated rooms, the beds are much better, firm but not hard, with nicer covers. The room is brighter, the shower is much improved. Breakfast is still the same excellent Swedish level breakfast.
The renovated room I was in no longer has a small refrigerator.
Quiet location Attached restaurant
Lacks basic amenities such as hand soap, clock, phone, or iron/ironing board.
The location of the hotel is very central.
A bit old and used looking rooms. Actually a quite basic hotel, but the price lets you wait a bit more.
The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and had a lot of variety. The breakfast area was spacious. Self-serve coffee and cookies were good and available around-the-clock.
My room was ground-level. The windows, if open, could be entered from the outside. It was hard to keep water in the shower. A fair amount of water leaked onto the floor outside the shower.
Location - very close to workplace, some good restaurants shops and a grocery store nearby. Breakfast was good, you could get a beer or a something to drink at reception. They had a billiard table in the lobby. Friendly, helpful staff - not a problem when I asked to change rooms. An ok place to stay for the night but not the best of accomodations
Hotel restaurant/bar was closed the night I stayed (a Monday). First room had a few fist holes in the walls, shower was not clean. Of the two rooms I was offered as an alternative, one was habitable - smaller but clean - the other smelled musty and had a lot of stains on the carpets. The quality of the accommodations weren't as good as similarly priced hotels in the area.
location for my purpose.
Lighting in room poor. No air conditioning. Advertised as taking the Diners card but didn't.
Nice hotel generally. Good and safe parking facilities
Lot of noise in the room from the night club on Friday night. Just when we needed sleep for the next days race at Gelleråsen.
Very nice location if you want to know how you grandparents used to live and sleep. Maybe Alfred Nobel slept still in this bed... I have seen it now and will for sure not going back.
Alfred Noble hotel was a friendly & comfortable hotel that met my basic business needs. Centrally located, the staff were very friendly. I really enjoyed the pool table! Relative to other accommodation availability in the area I would recommend staying at this hotel.
Non hotel designated parking could be an issue. Basic gym.
Hotel in early 70's style really need major facelift Prices too high, Stockholm's hotels are cheaper Lift out of order
Location, breakfast, access to restaurant
elevator out of order
No of TV-channels
The room was clean. Breakfast was good.
The room was a little bit too cold for me.
Price is definitely too high!
Stains and scrapes everywhere, in big need of refurbishment. The rooms was inefficiently soundproof, had to change the first room because I heard the nieghbors as if they were in my room.
I liked the location, and breakfast with fruits and varied food.
I did not like the lighting in the room, terrible and poor. I have myopia, and lack of light made too difficult my life, because I could not find my things into my suitcase. The lack of a cabinet to store my clothes was also unforgivable. I had to leave everything into my suitcase, and as the room was dark was very difficult to adapt. The 301 room lighting needs to be reviewed urgently.
The location for me.
There have been no improvements investments for a long time. Large ugly stains on the floors and just generally very run down.
That there was no bar/pub in the hotel. There was a restaurant/pub in same building, But was booked until 23:00
