Excellent Breakfast, very helpful staff, clean and well prepared rooms. Good location for city shopping and tourism ! Convenient for bus and rain links. Rooms are a bit small for the price, (but its only a minor criticism) No view from our suite.

Location was really good given that its sort of a second tier hotel. Breakfast was excellent! Even better than most top tier hotels. Bathroom was small and not practical. two beds were too close together, not able to separate from my business partner. Also, the hotel is in need of decor upgrades, even for a second tier facility.

you can't image how fantanstic the breakfast is! staff at reception desk are helpful. They recommended us Swedish typical food. All these made my girlfriend and I had a nice trip in Stockholm. The room is a little bit smaller but it's ok overall.

Very clean and nice hotel with a good breakfast - wide selection of different food and bread, nice fruit salad and tea. WiFi nit working everywhere, but the staff is very helpful and it's possible to get a cable for wired internet.

Worth its "Swedish stars". The gym is well equiped. Room very comfortable, coffee & tea maker, minibar and working WiFi. Food in restaurant was very nice. Will try to book it again on a next visit. Maybe the restaurant area could be made slightly more cosy for the winter evenings but that's truly all I can think of.

The location is excellent - all parts of the inner city can be reached easily and quickly. The in house restaurant was excellent. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The internet connection was not reliable in my room - unless I stood next to the door to the corridor.

Our staying in Birger Jarl hotel was really pleasant. The hotel is situated not far from the underground station Rådmansgatan (that is just in two stations from T-Centralen). Stuff is very polite and friendly, rooms are clean, free wi-fi is really fast and breakfast is rich and delicious. We'd like to recommend this hotel to everybody.

Modern design hotel with great staff and the breakfast is simply amazing! I was on the 7th and highest floor, and from the 3 elevators only one gets up there, I spend 6 days in Stockholm and it was ok till a busy weekend at the hotel, took more than 15 minutes to get into the elevator! Since I had luggage I could not take the stairs. Anyway, just one bad experience but I would definately stay there over and over again.

It's a 5-minute walk from Radmansgatan metro station and some 30-minute walk from the old city. The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable. The interior of the lobby and the breakfast area is very cozy and relaxing at night. The beds in the room were absolutely wonderful! Breakfast was delicious, but we wonder why they never served salmon) Free non-alcoholic drinks in the minibar. The room was a kind of shabby, one of the shelves next to the bed was broken. The bathroom looked a bit like a bathroom in a hospital ward, at least that's not what one may expect from a 4-star hotel or even a designer hotel as Birger Jarl positions itself. There was only one pair of slippers and one bathrobe in the room although there were two of us staying. We asked for what was missing but got only the second bathrobe. The breakfast area needs to be more spacious, it was really overcrowded during breakfast, we once spotted a queue waiting at the entrance. We travel a lot and we have never ever experienced such a thing.

The reception staff were very friendly. I had a bad experience with the restaurant, my meal had someone's hair in it. They said it was embarrassing but did not acknowledge the health implications of such as thing. As a result I would not recommend this hotel to others. The rooms were very small and a little shabby. I stayed there 8 years ago and the hotel now seems like it needs a revamp.

The room was quite good for a one person room. Bed was quite big for a single room. Clean and nice hotel. Lots of rooms. Breakfast was nice, just a bit crowded. No minibar. Bottle of water without an opener. Roomservice at night was ok but the food was not fresh, just something pre-made out of a fridge.

The hotel is very smart and the staff Friendly. The breakfast was great. I would stay there again. It is quite far from the main attraction, but I manage to hire a city bike and could travel around easily.

The room had a retro feel (carpet on the wall) which worked well in evoking a 1970s style apartment. It was compact and there was plenty of storage space. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and I would definitely return there. The beds were a little bit uncomfortable and looked like they were reaching the end of their life.
