The hotel was very minimalist. No telephone, no hairdryer in the room. The bathroom is ridiculously small. It had the smallest sink I've ever seen. We stayed at the 5th floor and at some point there was no water in the shower. First day we didn't even get heating. The breakfast room was very tight and consequently extremely crowded. |

Hotel room had beds, and one chair. No table, no toilet. Toilet in the corridor. Not a pleasant place. |

Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast provided was pretty good, continental style buffet only, nothing cooked to order. Good location, under 10 min walk from Stockholm central station. Very old furniture in rooms, very limited space in wardobe. No chest of drawers or shelves for clothes, had to keep everything in the suitcase. Taxi drivers found it difficult to find the hotel, recommend you get directions from the hotel or a Map showing hotel location. |

I like thepeople who work there!!!! I would yhank them for kindness, understanding and help!!! I liked the breakfast too)) I hope to stay there next time i come to Stockholm!!!!! In one room there were only two sockets, and as tourists we needed to load monile phones, players, cameras...so it would not always be enough(( |

The Colonial Hotel is well located, it only takes a few minutes to walk into the city centre. The price is good in respect of the qualicy of the service, facilities and staff. Furthermore, the breakfast was simple but decent. The room and toilet/shower could have been cleaner. Also, the heater in the room could not be turned off, so that it was very hot when we arrived. |

We booked a quadruple hotel room for 3 adults for 2 nights. Turned out to be a tight fit. Very basic but value for money because of the excellent location. Close to the main street and railway station. Breakfast was simple but okay since it was included in the room rate. Bathroom was tiny with a big problem in the design. The shower was the same level as the floor without any barrier to stop the water flowing all over the floor. Also, water kept getting hotter every 10 seconds so had to turn the knob back to its original position each time. Also, not enough hot water for 3 people to shower. Very annoying. |

The staff is nice and helpful. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are clean. It is youth-hostel style, with really basic settings, the pictures are not the same as reality. I don't like the bathrooms, there are not enough facilities for so many customers, and they are not clean enough. The elevator doesn't stop on the 4th floor. |

Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was pretty good. The hotel was much further away from the tourist part of Stockholm than other reviews have said. It was a good 15 min walk to the train station, then another 15+ min walk to the old city of Stockholm. There is not really any public transportation there either, so if you stay here, plan on a lot of walking (an hour round trip just to get to the places you want to see). Also, the hotel was really more of a hostel than a hotel. Shared bathrooms in the hallway, not even a sink in the room. It was also pretty loud with people shouting in the hallway late at night and the fire alarm went off for a good ten minutes because someone started smoking. It may be cheaper than some other places, but I would not stay here again. |

The buffet was good, and great location: Hotel did not enforce no smoking rule. Was woken up repeatedly by guests setting off the fire alarm violating the rule. Shared bathrooms ran out of toilet paper, and zqs not very clean. |
