The location is good. Nice buzz in the restaurant and bar.

Somewhat officious female reception staff - civil but not particularly welcoming and rather inflexible with anything that isn't strictly (and I mean strictly) according to the (lengthy and tiresomely lugubrious) Swedish rulebook. Don't try to have the reception night staff relay any information regarding your bill to the morning staff that takes over at 7.30am - they will get it all wrong as indeed was my experience. Based on years of travelling to the region, take it form me - if you would like a modest degree of flexibility on anything in Scandinavia (such as late check out, early check in, disabled access both to the hotel and in the rooms, assistance with carrying suitcases at the Diplomat) perhaps visit Norway or Denmark - they take themselves far less seriously there.

Wonderful location, beautiful older hotel and a fabulous breakfast and outside cafe.

Would like to them have a women's bicycle to use.. I am petite and the men's bicycle was diffcult to use.

I was attending a workshop at one of the main banks in Stockholm that is located within easy walking distance. I had a comfortable single room and the buffet breakfast. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my stay, and would return another time.

The meals are a little expensive.

Jag tyckte inte riktigt om att det fanns ett helt och hållet genomskinligt fönster utan gardiner nästan från golv till tak mellan badrummet och sovutrymmet i vårt tvåpersonersrum. Vad kan tänkas vara idén bakom det här? Det största delen av hotellgästerna är väl ändå inte exhibitionister...

Location, atmosphere, food and spa

The double room is smaller than we thought, and it is difficult for two people to move around..

Beautiful hotel, lovely decor. Excellent, friendly staff. Great restaurant. Very handy to city centre. Gorgeous view over the harbour.

No spa facilities

Excellent location, room exactly as shown on their website yet many extras in room a pleasant surprise. Very professional staff and management. Highly recommended and will return.

The old-fashioned lift which serves all guests over six floors has a metal gate which has to be closed upon departure to return the lift to other floors. Apparently this was too complicated for many guests who just walked away from it, leaving the lift stranded on the upper floors over and over again. All they need is a clearly written sign IN the lift, telling people to shut the gate. How complicated is that?

Hotel was booked in my daughter's name. Very comfortable - great venue and location for seeing Stockholm. Very buzzy with mixture of business and tourists - which we were! Attractive and helpful staff who all made you feel welcome. David and Chris Kenway

Good service, excellent location for shopping and good for visiting some of the major tourists attractions. Room clean and smart. Good buffet breakfast. Good value for Stockholm.

Only one old fashion lift that is a struggle to get in and out with luggage, and a very tight lift lobby on the ground floor, which is also the main corridor to the reception area, quite crowded most of the time, especially in the morning. Would be nice to have coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Only one bottle of complimentary bottled water for the entire stay is a bit mean.

Very well prepared room for our arrivel, that was nice

It is very central but not noisy-very easy access to boats and the old town plus restaurants.The service and politeness of the staff was excellent.

We stayed in room 101 and the wardrobe was minute-so was our window view of the inlet. Our friends stayed in room 404 where the view was superb although a clear glass panel between the bedroom and bathroom was odd.We were told the hotel was full so no chance of moving rooms.
