This hotel has a long history and a sense of grandure fitting a building of this age. The size of the room, height of the ceillings and room facilities was impressive for their pricing. Centrally located in Karlstad to shops and restaurants and only 10 minutes walk from the Central Train and Bus Station is ideal for a non driving stay. As with most Hotels the Breakfast choice was very repetitive after 4 days but this would not alter my view. |

Recently refurbished to a high standard, our room had delightful views of the river. Hotel combines old-world charm with modernity successfully. They provide an excellent continental hot and cold buffet breakfast. The bar boasts a huge range of beers and spirits! The hotel restaurant was closed when we stayed and the only evening meals were those provided in the Swedish version of the "typically English bar". |

Hotel staff was great! They upgraded us to a deluxe room for free, which was very large with a balcony and a large bathroom with shower and bathtub. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was very good. The hotel also had free internet access in the room--ask at the front desk. |

Very good hotel. Modern rooms with great furnishing. Large bed. Great location. Great buffet for breakfast. I liked the fact that they prepare sandwiches for those who have to check out before breakfast time. Room size a bit small. |

Bra standard til en grei pris - ligger sentralt - kort vei fra jernbanestasjonen - hyggelig personale. Rengjøring av rommene ble påbegynt alt for sent . I den grad Bishop`s arms er en del av hotellet, så er dette en trivelig pub - men lite imøtekommende ansatte. |

Trevlig pub i bottenvåningen ch sköna sängar. Att det inte fanns tillgång till parkeringsplatser i anslutning till hotellet utan att man fick ta sig till andra parkerinar och därifrån släpa med väskor. |

Bra läge, rent och fräscht, trevligt med den gamla miljön. Bra service och närheten till staden.Bra och vackra promenadvägar. Saknade en bra restaurang på hotellet likaså parkering som fick göras på "allmän plats". Inte så lätt att leta när man inte känner till staden och enkelriktningar. |

Ligger sentralt, grei standard. Hyggelig betjening Frokost. Kald bacon og egg er ikke godt. Fri internet tilgang under hele oppholdet bør være standard. Rommet og badet var kjølig ved ankomst. Hadde vært fint om varmen var satt noe opp før vi kom, spesielt på badet. |
