Hotel Esplanade  

The position is excellent close to everything in town and the water! The building is nice from the outside.

The rooms are very old and in a bad condition, not very clean either. Based on this it should be a maximum 2 star hotel!

I travel around 70% of my time. This means I am a very frequent hotel user. I have to say that this may be the worst hotel I have ever been to. To begin with, you have to carry your luggage using spiral stairs, to a high first floor. But the worst was to come. The room was gloomy, sinister, with a yellowish miserable light, and giving to a dirty, gloomy patio, where the windows in front were at about four meters from your window. There was also a horrible smell. I emptied first half a bottle of Eau de Cologne, and when that did not work, I had to use the full bottle. I paid 154€ for one night for that room. If I had seen it before the prepaid booking, I would have left straight away. It was not worth 50€.

Clean room, friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Good location.

Room was very dark, hardly any daylight. This hotel is defenitely NOT a 4 star hotel. No elevator. Small bathroom.

Location

The period environment gave a great atmosphere. Being able to walk out of reception onto Strandvagen was a great asset.

No gym, old furniture in the room but it's a part of historical charm

Old-fashioned hotel in a good meaning of such term.Well preserved atmosphere of peaceful old times gone by. The stay was comfortable, especially as I got bigger room than ortiginally booked. Perfect location. And for a "reasonable" price (for Stocholm, where hotel prices are generally astronomical).

Old fashioned, but plesant

No parking space, so we got à fee to pay 100 pounds, as we had parked on à nearly unmarked handikcapp parkingspace.

Best hotel I have ever seen. Beautiful room, good service, nice breakfast and a perfect location! Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Not vacuumed the room. Walk on the floor was impossible. Very dirty. Staff is not very friendly.

The location is excellent. Easy to reach from the central bus station and train station. Very good breakfast. Although on a main street, the room wasn't nosy at all. If ever back in Stockholm, I'd definitely choose the same hotel.

Little old. Feeling that he was in the 50s. :) Some people may like it, but someone has to offer to make repairs ...

Noise of cleaning rooms in the morning. No lift - not suitable for disabled.

Location, view, classic design

Breakfast was really awful. No fresh bread, not many choices at all, bad serial and jam, no pancakes.... No elevator, no room service...

Beautiful view over the harbour, not too far from the old quarter of Stockholm; not the main railway/coach station. Friendly staff, up-to-date facitlities in an old and charming building

The only thing we did not appreciate was the taxi the hotel booked for us - we aked for payment by debit card and this was confrimed. The taxidriver refused to take anything but cash......

Möblerna, sängarna var mycket bra. Vacka stolar och lampor. Frukosten var riklig och god.

Liten matsal. Slitna mattor.

Den gamla, rustika stilen var bevarad. Badrummets utformning i den rundade delen i vårt rum var väldigt snygg, och loungen på våning ett var väldigt tjusig med balkongen ut mot Strandvägen.

Röken från balkongen på våning ett blåste in i huset eftersom dörrarna var öppna...det gav dålig lukt på hela våningen. Lågenergi lampor i gamla fina armaturer är miljövänligt men inte mysigt...det finns massor av bra alternativ för att få finare belysning som drar lite energi idag, bör kanske lägga lite tid på att hitta de lågenergilampor/ LED-lamppor som ger ett finare sken.
