Score from 558 reviews Very good
the bed mattress was soft.
the Cleanliness, the decoration and modernity, the free access to internet
Floor in the bathroom was greasy, no wardrobe, little bit cold in the room (poor heating), no restaurant
Large room, free car park, wifi, possibility to buy food and drinks in the kitchen whole day paid on your room - they really must trust people (without the presence of the staff), very interesting business model (self-checking).
Room was not cleaned on arrival
Staff was helpful
Nothing negative to say about this place.
Free parking in front, good WiFi, new and clean, great staff, simple but good deli-type breakfast, great bed.
Checkout machine out of order.
Some of the food was not fresh (eg the fruit was way passed it's prime)
The comfort of the bed Excellent Bathroom Good size of room - more like a small apartment (couch, small kitchen area etc) Self service - very easy to work
Electricity to far away from the bed. Couldn't charge my phone and use it as bedside clock.
The location. There wasn't any cup in the room, which one could use to drink water. A little bit sofisticated electronic system for check in and check out.
The room number after 2000is really hard to find. please make some note on the second elevator to guide others.
No room service at 150 € (they're nuts), self-service check-in/-out as in Motel 1, remote area 20++ minutes walk to next restaurant, stylish-clean but soul-less
Big room, easy-going staff, Wifi
Single bed, tiny room, no wardrobe or desk; costs are very high compared to what you would get for the same money in the majority of other European and North American countires. This is probably more indicative of the price of things in Sweden rather than the price of Hotel Finn in particular. Basement rooms have virtually no natural light and noise travels from outside and the reception above. Note that staff are virtually absent, as is the business model it seems, mainly self service, not necessarily a bad thing, but be aware.
Very clean and modern finish. Easy check in/out/breakfast, all self service so no fussing/waiting for service etc. Comparatively cheap when looking at other hotels in the area. Location is reasonable, easy walk into Lund centre although no restaurants etc in the immediate vicinity. Option to borrow bikes is nice. Lund is a lovely town.
I travel quite a bit to Lund for work, so I like that Hotel Finn has a small kitchen for preparing meals.
The room I was given was in the basement and had no proper window.
I asked to be changed to a room with window and they readily did.
I did not enjoy my stay at Hotel Finn. I arrived in the evening and was disappointed to find only one pillow - as there was no staff on duty I could not ask for a second one until the next day. I was given a room downstairs: the window was locked shut and there is no air conditioning. On the second night I was continually attacked by mosquitos so I can only think they were coming up from the drains. I found the breakfast strange with ready-made, meat-containing baguettes (no bread or salad). I will not stay in Hotel Finn again.
The distance to the city centre (and the necessity to take taxis in the evenings, which made my stay even more expensive). The fact that everything was automatic/self-service. No place to leave my luggege on the day of my departure.
The lady nearby the reception. My son liked the range of games offered in the lounge (nintendo etc)
Price is increasing. More of less same price as a "regular" hotel with reception, pool etc. now
Nice room, good bed, super WiFi, parking in front of hotel.
It is an hotel without reception, however there is someone in most of the time and if not all you have to do is pick up the phone on the desk and someone will answer. The staff (present or over the phone) was always helpful and friendly no matter what time of day or night. The automatic check-in/ billing system was user friendly.
Far out from city central. No staff at check in or anywhere else for that matter.
Great Value if your trying to save.
Computer for buying food and breakfast was rather slow to operate.
Plenty of flexible space in room. Good lobby for interaction with others.
There is no aur conditioning in the summer. It got very hot during the long sumner day. And only one windowopens at about 25 degree angle. That doesnot help keeping the temperature ambient in the room :(
The television placement was fantastic, the rooms have a great aura, the kitchen facilities were adequate, the toilet was great, the bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast a little poor. It offers the essentials for 75 Krones and you can get 5 pieces of anything included; then you have to pay the additional pieces. The offer could be improved (catering at least some scrambled eggs and bacon).
Clean, quiet, studio flat well equipped. Good position 10 minutes walk to the center.
the sliding door between bathroom and bedroom
Everything is great but in case you are first time in a self check in/out hotel then it might be challenging. The rooms are clean and spacious. We left early morning (we spent only one night as we were crossing Scandinavia by car) and did not think about the checkout procedure except to leave the card key near the counter. However in the evening I used my credit card to check in and thought it was one and the last time to use the credit card. So we went out without in the morning, without properly checking out and that meant without payment also. Later we got an email from the hotel explaining the issue. Everything rolled out nicely until settling the amount in euro when we were told that the currency rate is 10% higher than in reality cuz of some taxes that are applied by the hotel when paying with credit card. We came to an understanding with the hotel staff and we were paying what we were supposed to pay w/o the mentioned extra charges… so in case you see 86 euro aka 795 SEK in your booking confirmation, expect to pay more while using a credit card… unless you confirm the issue prior your arrival with the hotel..
All necessary (self-)services available, for a very attractive price. Good location within walking distance of Lund center.
fitness center is very small breakfast small and expensive
nice rooms and decoration the fact that you can rent bikes for free
We booked a double bedded studio with a kitchenette and seating area and a single room. We were given two lovely studios. Amazingly well managed hotel very convenient modern honesty breakfast/food fridge in lobby and plenty of bicycles to hire.
