Guldgränd Hotel Apartments  

I have only good things to say about the Guldgränd. The staff are super friendly and care. The apartment (#1) was on the small side, but very cosy with plenty of storage space, and very quiet. The bathroom and kitchenette are very modern and clean. Internet service worked easily and perfectly. Lots of tv channels in Swedish, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. All the conveniences of home: laundry room, iron, blow dryer, vacuum. The location is very accessble. It's a 3mn minute walk from Slussen T-Bana station which makes it easy to get to and from anywhere, including Arlanda airport via the Arlanda Express (in about 40mn door to door). A suitable grocery store is 5mn away. It is possible to walk to Gamla Stan in about 10 mn. Absolutely enjoyed our stay!

The location: close to every top attraction in Stockholm and a few minute walk from public services.

The small studio is really small. It was not clear to me that a pin code was needed to enter the Hotel, and the "receptionist" (there is no reception, you can contact the staff by phone) answered only after the third call, while I was waiting outside at -15°C.

The Location. It is located in the middle of stockholm. Nice design.

It was too expensive in Relation to - room was in front of a wall, looking out of the window you see a wall - the room is overdesigned and not very practicall - we expected 2 rooms, but it is one room, only separated with furniture - it was cold

Very service-minded staff in Reception. Good location. Very suitable for family with smaller children - compared to other hotel accommodation in Stockholm, where rooms are often rather small and expensive. We had a very pleasant stay.

Location was convenient and very safe. Apt was spacious (except for kitchen), bright, attractive, well-maintained.

View from apartment of Hilton Hotel is unattractive, but so is courtyard view. The entrance to the apt building is stark & unappealing--no plantings, facing glassed-in space, some vacant and some the Hilton's exercise room (always empty & dimly lit). The entrance is down a granite staircase about 10 ft. Below street level; apartments are upstairs. Weekend nights there was much noise from the Hilton until 3a.M., other nights until 1am--double glazed windows would help. The apt is fully renovated, with bleached wood flooring; however, there are several tripping hazards in the apt doorways with thresholds one to two inches high, and not rounded off. Upon departure, guests are required to strip the beds, fold used linens & towels, take out trash, empty fridge, under penalty of a substantial fee.

Very convenient location in the heart of Stockholm, close to public transport, a short walk from Gamla Stan and from a very wide choice of restaurants and shops. Beds were very comfortable and the open-plan lounge/bedroom area was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our apartment faced outwards onto a nearby hotel foyer and bar. There is a 'canyon effect' because of surrounding buildings which amplified voices, music and traffic noises, so we had a lot of outside noise at night which sometimes disturbed our sleep. We had to close the windows despite being very warm. Air conditioning would have been welcome - we found the room rather warm and stuffy on hotter days.

Good location, moderately well equipped kitchen

I was in a top floor room which was rather hot and stuffy during sunny weather; though not an issue for me some might find the lack of a lift a problem.

The hotel was convenient to public transit and in the heart of the city. Our room was comfortable and modern. It was well equipped to cook your own meals, especially breakfast.

Well equipped apt, free TV and internet.

Noise: by A/C outside the apt and by outside bar of the Hilton when it was open. But it's nothing one couldn't deal with in the end...
