Excellent atmosphere, design and decoration; staff extremely helpful, nice and always smiling; good and varied breakfast buffet; good location close to the metro station and at a walking distance from the shopping area and Sodermalm; free sauna upon reservation; it was also very pleasant to find free coffee and tea at all times in the lounge when back in the hotel from a cold afternoon or night out; the regulating systems for heath in the room and for the bathroom floor (this was very smart!) . A few drawbacks: double room made with 2 separate beds joint together(even if I had previously sent an email to the hotel to request a double bed); bathroom really small; towels not changed on a daily basis; upon check in, the entire amount of my stay + 10% as a guarantee was reserved on my credit card, this was a bit annoying. |

Very helpfull receptionists, clean room, comfy beds, nice shower, 5 min. walk to the subway + a 7eleven store (24/7 open), sauna in the hotel free of use for your own, a basic gym in the hotel, live jazz on saturday night (till 22:00) good quality breakfast with waffels etc. Tip: Restaurant Mooncake (asian fusion) and Restaurant Paparazi (Italian) were absolutly brilliant and very nearby. Not a big issue but the breakfast room is a bit small, especially on sundaymorning, it's possible that you will have to wait before you get a table. The bathroom in our room was beautiful but not too big, but hey, who cares! They location is great and the beds as well! |

Style, interior design, wonderfull stone tiles in the bathroom, location, silent place, staff, lobby, internet availibility, sauna, croissants, coffee, fresh strawberries and overall peacefulness. Sound coming from outside, maybe from air-conditioning which sounds like rain, every morning I thought it´s raining outside:(( |

I like a lot the design, decoration and what has been done out of an old building, the distribution of the rooms around a yard. The breakfast was excellent, especially the choice of breads. I appreciates a lot the coffe machine close to the reception making quality cappucino, delicious! |

The location was excellent - quiet yet close to public transport and within easy walking distance of central station, the main shopping street and many good restaurants. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. The room was very small, and the bathroom about the size of a broom cupboard which made using it quite challenging (and i'm not a large person). Also the bedroom was a strange shape, which meant that it was impossible to close the curtains in a way that actually blocked out the light... That said, perhaps I was just unlucky - my colleague showed me his room and it was huge and normal shaped (still had a small bathroom though). Breakfast was also fairly limited, particularly for Sweden where breakfasts are usually much better than what was on offer here. Wireless internet would also be a bonus and avoid the need for cables. |

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The free internet and printer and coffee in the lounge was great. It did not feel like a hotel, more like a place away from home. the bar was cosy too and one night they had a jazz band there (although I was too tired and went to bed). The T-bann or subway was a block away (Radsmangatan) and downtown was walking distance. |

The room was clean and tidy with one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in. Staff were welcoming and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - worth staying just for that! There is a lovely bar and lounge room with free tea and coffee to spend time - plus free internet. Hotel Hellsten is a great location, close to the tube and within walking distance of the shopping area and many main attractions. |
