Stockholm is a beautiful city.
Stockholm is a beautiful city. Staying just outside The Old Town was perfect - SoFo - is a lovely bohemian area with very few tourists. Walking is easy but also the public transport system (including ferries) is superb.
Just walking the streets of The Old Town is a delight, But also recommend some island hopping. Skansen, The Museum of Modern Art and Stampen jazz club were particular favourites.
And a lovely bistro hidden amongst the web of cobbled streets in the Old Town is Under Kastanjen.

Absolutely lovely and beautiful city!
Absolutely lovely and beautiful city! Stayed a bit further away from the centre, but getting around Stockholm is incredibly easy! You can use the SL app to buy tickets or just pay as you go (there are cards machine at the entry of all metro stations as well as the trams and buses). The city centre is gorgeous, however it can be a bit crowded since there are my avenues and shops around. Eating wise, please try all the kardemommeboller you possibly can because they are delicious (my recommendations are Stora Bageriet and Lillebrors). Don't hesitate to take a boat tour to see the city from the water, you won't regret it! 🤎 Great city for shopping but also with beautiful nature areas such as parks, gardens and the archipelago!

Beautiful city but don't underestimate its size or how far it is to walk between places of interest. We discovered their superb transport system and used that after our first day walking everywhere to get to places we had booked.
In three and a half days we visited: Vasa Museum (amazing), Abba (don't be embarrassed to sing - we weren't), Avicii experience (more singing), Sprit museum (Swedish tasting tray was definitely something we wont forget!) Ice Bar, Gamla Stan and the Under the Bridges boat tour. There was so much more we could have seen including visiting the Royal Palace and Skansen (next time perhaps). People are friendly and helpful but don't take too much cash (like we did) as most places in Stockholm were cashless and only accepted card payments.
Food was an issue, we should have researched more as reasonably priced eateries that were open in April were hard to find.

Stockholm is an incredibly friendly and welcoming place.
Stockholm is an incredibly friendly and welcoming place. It is also very well set up and easy to get around. The express train from the airport is incredibly simple and pleasant to use. Public transport is also simple - just get your credit card scanned after you board.
Stockholm is great if you like museums - they are everywhere.
I particularly recommend Skansa (part folk museum, part zoo) and just losing yourself in Gamla Stan. Aifur is an excellent and fun tourist experience for dinner - Viking mead hall with traditional Scandinavian food and drink.
The Frantz Hotel was recommended by a friend living in Stockholm, although had never stayed. It was perfect, in fact, she joined us for dinner in the restaurant downstairs on our last night and was blown away. No doubt she will mention it to other visitors. The bed/pillows were exceptional, sooooo comfortable, the room was small but perfect in every other way and the buffet breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. Nice cosy bar too. Couldn't fault it. A wonderful week.
Great location, close to all attraction and very walkable neighborhood. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was okay, not the best among neighboring hotels, but for a free breakfast it was a good deal (no cured salmon/fish option, a Swedish staple); mostly coldcuts and sandwich ingredients, couple veggies and some fruit options. You have to make a breakfast reservation for a specific time slot (it gets pretty crowded).
Location - 8 minute trip on the metro from Stockholm Centralstation. Line - 17, 18,19 alight at Skanstull. Look for the hotel sign by the exit gate.
Staff - superb
Room - Excellent. Loads of plug sockets. Very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Very quiet. Spotlessly clean
Breakfast - All you can eat with a huge choice of food to choose from one of the best I've experienced in any hotel.
Everything was excellent. The Staff are above and beyond excellent. The best breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. The rooms so peaceful and quiet. The two adjoining Restaurants, Miss Voon & Goma are exceptionally good and efficient. The best area in Stockholm.
A beautiful park in front of the Hotel. Choice of Tunnelbana. Highly recommend. I will be back😍Thank you to all Staff. 👌
Everything is perfect! Every staff that we encountered were friendly and every where you meet them, they say and hi with a big smile. The hotel is a truly 5 star hotel in terms of amenities, look and feel and 5 star service! The bed and pillows were so comfortable. the style of the hotel and rooms were so chic and stylish. Every little detail in the room was impeccable.
Breakfast was fabulous, the room had a great design, was very clean and confortable and the bathroom had all the things you needed (shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, hair dryer). The staff was always very polite and willing to help. The pool and the sauna on the roof are worth the money. This hotel is the best choice if you travel to Stockholm.
With a view of Gamla Stan, this hotel was an excellent choice. It was close to all major attractions and provided an excellent night's sleep. The best part, however, was the staff, who were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay in Stockholm.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times due to its connection and close proximity to town centre, it’s also one of the best hotels in Stockholm with a good size of room and shower. Whether you are a business traveller or couple for a weekend, this hotel will cater to your needs.
The room was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast, one of the best. The location was excellent! The staff was warm, human, friendly. We fell in love with the hotel the moment we stepped in. The next time in Stockholm we know where we will be staying. A great experience!
location is perfect, very confortable and clean, everyone super friendly and nice breakfast… it’s the 3 time im staying in this hotel and if I’m back to Stockholm, i will go again a 4th time. good ratio quality/price. Not a luxury but you will have everything you need.
&hotel was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Everything was top notch and the staff’s been so friendly and helpful. Tack for everyone out there who made my stay memorable. My next stay in Stockholm would certainly be at &Hotel.
The room was quiet, cozy, clean and comfy. Good value for money, breakfast was good quality and generous. Roof top bar was very nice.
Location near central station and near food and shopping. This will be my new Stockholm stay hotel.
What I liked most about the hotel is it’s location. I was able to arrive from the airport express train in mere seconds, and I was able to to travel to different parts of the best sights in Stockholm by foot and by local transit.
Perfect value for the perfect location and great design. The hotel maybe located on the best spot of Stockholm for myself. Had the great views of the city from the room. Loved the gym/spa. would enjoy staying here again.
Very friendly and helpful staff in reception.
We were very impressed with their personal knowledge of top restaurants. We also loved the room and the interior. Best hotel that I have stayed at in Stockholm.
Delicious and versatile breakfast, nice and helpful staff, clean room. Good connection to the center of the city. Walkable too.
Best value for the money in Stockholm I guess.
Totally recommend this hotel.
The staff. This staff is awesome. The Rex has a convenient location and a great breakfast buffet. They room was very nice also. Rex is one of the Best deals in Stockholm.
Everything was as expected. The rooms were underground, at least most of them. Breakfast was great! Quite cheap for a hotel in central Stockholm. Good stuff!
