We had a pleasant stay at a small, but good hotel. The family rooms with an alcove were perfect for a family with two kids. The Location could not be better; it is in the middle of Prästgatan (Priest Road), which is a pedestrian zone. The hotel parking is a bit awkward, though. It is not extremely easy to find the hotel garage in Postgränd (Post Road). You'll have to expect at least one rotation around inner city to find it. And you definitely should not use your Hummer in the garage, Use your Mini Cooper or Fiat 500. Breakfast was good, we did not miss anything. We'll use this hotel for the next stay in Østersund.

This Hotel is a short taxi ride from Ostersund Central Station (approx 120 sek for a minibus) and in the middle of a shopping street with plenty of nearby bars and restaurants. We stayed here as we were leaving from the Airport the following morning (Taxi approx 430 sek). Jan behind reception was very helpful and friendly and also doubled up as bar man and breakfast provider.

There were several families staying in nearby rooms and the sound proofing is not perfect so at times it was pretty noisy. We had kids running around in the corridors at night.

The person on the desk was extremely helpful to our group, quickly arranging another double room for us when we realized the 'suite' was not meant for four adults to share but would be perfectly fine for a family of four with two of the four being young children. In addition, he booked us dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant that was excellent and fully met our needs for a nice meal with table service after our earlier experiences of dining at pizzerias and Max due to traveling during Midsummer holidays. (Many restaurants and shops are closed during Sweden's annual Midsummer celebration)

We found the rooms quite warm which seems to be true in general in Swedish hotels. Otherwise comfortable and good value for the money.

The staff were extremely helpful and went ou of their way to look after us.City Centre location oposite the department store, yet still quiet. Magpies were building their next outside the breakfast room window!

The rooms were slightly dated and a little small for the money. The shower was more like a hosepipe than a sprinkler!

Slitet, skulle behövas en renovering, kommer inte tillbaka, snål frukost man fyllde inte på när det tog slut.

Sofaen på stuen var ikke rengjort skikkelig, var full av popcorn og smuler. Ubehagelig å ligge, veldig tynn madrass. Litt tomt rom...ikke gardiner , forheng foran soverom eller ikke bilder på veggen.

Små rum Dålig frukost, kaffet var som vatten. Torrt bröd Dåliga kuddar Badkaret var inte för lite äldre, man var tvungen att kliva mycket högt för att komma och kunna duscha

Det här borde inte kallas hotell - utan härbärge. Svårt att nå hotellet med bil pga gågata. Hotellet ligger två våningar upp I fastigheten, anonym entré, man trodde att man hade kommit fel innan man kom in till receptionen. Slitet och spartanskt rum. Rummet och toaletten var väldigt litet. Lyhört mellan rummen. KALLT på rummet. Badrummet var knappast renoverat sedan 50-talet. Högt insteg till dusch/sittbadkaret. Fanns ingen hårblås på rummet. Gammal, liten TV. Frukosten var okej men spartansk och frukostmatsalen var liten och trång. Priset var på tok för högt med tanke på standard och rumsstorlek. Bilderna från hotellet stämmer inte överens med den verklighet vi mötte.

Jag tyckte det var ett mycket hemtrevligt hotell,lagomt stort å gemytligt.Jättebra frukost oxå.vi trivdes alldeles utmärkt,å va så säker..jag kommer tillbaks en vacker dag...
