I strongly suggest front desk staffs of this hotel should remind guest NOT to trust the taxi waiting in front of the hotel entrance, and only stick to taxi called by the front desk.
I jumped in one of these taxi after consulting with one of the front desk staff who told me the rate I have to pay from hotel to the airport is around $400 SK.
Then, when I arrived the airport, the taxi driver charged me for $1,000, because I did not order his service through reservation system, and he charged me not by the a fixed rate which was agreed in advance, but by meter.
He is with his one man company, resitration number of his taxi license is #673040, and the plate of his tax is 3448. I tried to give a call to the phone number printed on the receipt, but apparently, it was the taxi driver who picked up the phone.
And the worst part was, I do not have spare time to argue, or get police officer involved, since I have to catch my flight.
Furthermore, The customer service system of transportation in Sweden is not effective enough. It sounds like they only accept my complains filed by post, not even by sending them emails.
That'd be nice if the front desk staffs remind me of this risk before hand, and I should have waited for 10 more minutes to get a called-taxi, or fixed the rate with this driver before departure. Now, I cannot do too much about it but deliver my complain here.
