The comfort in the hotel room: The nice bed, the practical bathroom, the good breakfast. It was also a nice gesture from another member of staff to let me change rooms without any hassle. The location is great! I will be back.
That the man at the check in had such a difficult time understanding why I did not want a room on the fifth floor, even though I been to the hotel many times before and gave specific reasons for my request.
I enjoyed the responsiveness and friendliness of the staff. The location was great and the lobby bar and breakfast served were very nice. I will be back- there really isn't anything else that I would have asked for during my stay in Stockholm (that a hotel can legally provide. Ha)!
close to centre of town great bars good food. hotel bar and staff wonderful don't worry about language they speak better English than we did .
could not fault this hotel or location.
Great location, staff were very helpful and friendly. The bedding was fabulous, the 'pillow menu' was a nice touch.
Our rooms was tiny we had to coordinate our moves so as not to bump into each other. Also the room was dark.We asked for an extra lamp but were told that wasn't possible as they had no spares!
The location. The welcoming staff. The restaurant and the bar. DVD are available and the staff can bring them to your room.
A bathtub would be a plus.
Nice place, good staff but very basic
Basic rooms and very basic showers
I took a 4 day solo adventure from NYC and have very discerning hotel expectations. The Rival was quiet, welcoming, and a great location. Loved it.
Great beds, excellent breakfast, central location and nice staff. All in all a teriffic stay.
Excellent facilities with a bar that on a Friday and Saturday has a great atmosphere. The rooms were excellent and the bathrooms clean and with the sound system with ABBA of course fab
The staff are first class. The décor is pop art style. Our focus was south of of Sodermalm and the location it suited us well. However, for a tourist it is not super convenient although the hotel area is lively whilst still quiet and attractive.
it is a small hotel with limited facilities and the prices (particularly for food) may have already ceased to be competitive with other Stockholm hotels.
Location great Breakfast ok. They make you latte, panncace and more if you order some extra whitout charge. Our room was smal whith to soft beed.
Comfortable nicely decorated room. Films and CD:s to play in the room was an extra plus. Perfect location on Söder very close to subway. Some evenings there are performances by excellent artists, worth checking when.
Breakfast not included in price. Difficult to get the heat up in the room.
The decoration: it is different, modern, confortable. The teddy bear in the room. The confortable arm chairs. The staff.
If I was not on my own, the fact that from the room you can have a view to the bathroom and that you cannot control it from the inside, might not be so confortable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner at the hotel was very good and not exorbitantly priced. The hotel had a buzz to it with the bar and DJ, but back in the room you were not disturbed by noise. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the location provided quick and easy access to the airport and the city's attractions.
boutique, quirky aesthetic; central location in cool area; friendly efficient staff, great breakfast; attention to detail in the comfortable large room with a nice outlook; quality toiletries; coffee making facilities on 4F...everything really!
the room doors open outwards, but I am really quibbling here!
Lovely breakfast with wide choice Comfy bed Spacious bathroom Clean room Good strong shower
The bartender of the lower level in the evening of 29th of Oct (Wed.) was very unfriendly - hereby being a striking exception to the otherwise excellent staff. Hälsingar Eeva Väänänen, Helsingfors
Everything ...great location ..comfort bed.... excellent breakfast...very good restaurant...the bar is classy ... highly recommended
the room was a little small but very clean ...next time we ll go for a bigger room with balcony and view at Mariatorget.
Clean comfortable rooms. Good location.
No real lounge area, only small part at reception as a big part of the Hotel carved off for the bar area. Bedroom doors look like prison doors ! Lack of coffee/tea facilities in the room.
Sean, the concierge at Hotel Rival was special in giving advise on walking adventures and restaurant suggestions. Great energy and a wonderful asset to Hotel RIVAL in Stockholm. I look forward to my next trip there!
Lots of energy, but comfortable and ambient and romantic.
A quiet room, exactly what I wanted! A very nice breakfast room with a splended breakfast. Hotel Rival is situated in a nice area within a short walking distance to the city if the weather is fine
It is not very climate smart to exchange the towels every day, why not change only those towels that the customer has left on the floor? I was on the second floor and got some of the garlic and other smells of frying from the kitchen, not very disturbing, but a little...
Great service, excellent food and a brilliant 4 day break. Stockholm is a beautiful city and the Hotel Rival was the perfect base for exploring it.
Staff were incredibly helpful, as I had a need to see a doctor during my stay in Stockholm! Always friendly and approachable. Great location.
The wine in the bar was incredibly expensive and whilst I enjoyed it I begrudged the cost of one glass being equivalent to a bottle at the govt run liquor stores.
Staff on desk friendly. Good locatio
Room far too small for over £200 per night. No tea making facilities in very pokey room, carpet covered in stains from communal coffee bar to room. Bathroom uncomfortably small for two, sink etc tiny and no bath. Lighting also inadequate in main room. Didn't enjoy walking through packed and noisy bar each night either.
