The hotel is located in a quiet street in the middle of the Old Town. The staff was very helpful in explaining the public transportation. The folk art throughout the hotel made you feel at home. The breakfast room is rather small.

The hotel is right in the old part of town (Gamla Stan, 5 min by taxi from the train station) and near where leisure visitors like being. Enjoy staying in one of the islands of the old city, with narrow streets, full of restautants and small shops. From there one can reach on foot to the central (or modern) part of the city, citytour buses (close to the Opera), central market, pedestrian street, Royal Palace and most of the mais city atractions. The hotel takes advantage of the old internal structure of the original architectural and then it is rustically decorated. The breakfast (it could be better regarding the special kind of the hotel) and service meet the most of the needs, although the daily rate is a bit expensive, but as everything is in Stockholm. Overall, I would be back and recommend the hotel.

Friendly helpful staff. Superb location in heart of old town. Comfortable room (on the small side) but perfectly adequate. If you want a big plastic & chrome hotel go somewhere else - this hotel is great to wander through looking at the antiques in every corner. We were on top floor and rarely heard the bells - did not disturb us at all. Tip - restaurant Kaffegillet just round corner in Trangsund is great. The goulash soup at lunchtime in the cold weather is excellent. Try the Plankstek in the evening. Lack of a kettle, tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast buffet (although generally good) could have included a bit more fruit.

Beautiful building and friendly staff. Perfect location in the Old Town. Charming rooms and comfortable bed. I had expected an overall higher standard with the price I paid; the high price must be based on the location.

friendliness of staff and location The shower drain was plugged up when we arrived and the following morning my husband had to go to another room for his shower. The drain should have checked before our arrival. Not enough amenities in the room. No body lotion and the bottles were too small, only one bar of soap.

Very nice environment, decor, very friendly staff, great location The local church chimed every 15 minutes, which was quite disturbing at night, especially the night I kept my window open slightly because it was too hot inside.

Having just traveled from Norway the hospitality was lacking in comparison. For the money the room is not 5 star- first was in a corner room and then moved to double. Yes the small jacuzzi bath was nice but the street noise is unbearable and the atmosphere is a museum but not warm and inviting. The wireless network is spotty and not secure since both of our laptops had to be restored when we returned home because of the logging on to the local network "the cloud". Gamla Stan is very touristy and expensive. Again for the money not really worth it. Will stay in Sodermann or another area, if we return.

It was quaint and interesting and in a great part of town for us tourists. People were nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and tasty. Thanks. The bedding didn't seem very clean. Killed a small spider in the bathroom.

The charm and quirkiness of its decor, and that breakfast was included. Also our room had a great large walk-in shower. A bit pricey even with breakfast, but that seems to be typical of Scandinavian cities.

some antiques adding to a yesteryear feel, the location next to the palace and opposite a great antique shop, a yummy breakfast with lots of choice- no pool, very small room facing a close-by wall of next door building, some spa facilities that were extra cost, not as clean as expected for a 4 star-

Hotel really could not be more central. Was a great base for a city break. Staff were very good, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The hotel itself is very interesting and the room was comfortable.

The best position in old town. very friendly , polite and useful stuff. You can ignore all problems , just for the good stuffs. If you dont wanna stay in hotel for long hours , this hotel is not bad. small rooms , poor breakfast , air condition of room ( strong spilit for small room! You must turn on and off it several time ) Very slow and small elevator. Poor engilish Tv channels. The manager of hotel should pay more attention to facilities , instead of whom was stayed in that hotel 50 years ago!

Location and price Reception claimed there were no rooms with A/C, but when we said that was not exceptable, we would go to another hotel, and we had booked last Nov., they found a very nice top floor room with A/C. We don't like a run-around like this.

Staff was exceptionally kind, we had an early flight and they arranged an early breakfast at 6:30 am for us. Rooms are interesting not a typical American style run of the mill hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Unique with a great location. Air conditioning did not work in our top floor room but they promptly fixed it.

Central, very helpful staff (even had times of ferries for me to go to Sandhamm the next day, when I only said I might go at 2.30am the night before - and I ended up going - it was excellent), comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and comfortable bed. Location could not have been better.
