great localisation, great price, about 10-15 minutes walk to Gamla Stan(also metrostation), very pleasent staff, good breakfast also, safety, comfortable bed, very nice cafebar/nightbar with beautifull Old Town view
window doesn't open therefore there is VERY stuffy in the room
The lady looking after was friendly and helpful.
Wonderfull view of Stockholm
Fabulous deck area to sit and enjoy. I looked out over Gamla Stan and the city. Wrapped in my cosy blanket sipping coffee, it was gorgeous and I felt very comfortable and safe on my own. At the weekend it had a real buzz about the place which was lovely. Great pizza! Helpful staff :)
I had a fair bit of luggage as I was travelling onwards and there was a lack of space to get this out. Coffee was not great but this gave me a good excuse to try out the local cafes ;)
Helpful owner/staff. Convenient to bicycle rental, supermarket, restaurants and city sights.
Cost - too expensive for such a tiny cabin, Staff - reception was hardly ever manned, not interested when told about broken WC seat, Very little in terms of tourist info. No bicycle rentals
We loved the Loginn hotel, the location is brilliant, great views across to Gamala Stan and the city hall. The deck area is lovely to sit on and have a beer after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are small but you know that before you go, they are so sweet thought with their portholes and views. Breakfast was fine with a selection of cereal, bread, ham and cheese. The staff were lovely esp the lady with the blonde hair who was our favourite.
A shelf would be handy in the bathroom and a couple of coat hooks in the bedroom would help. A maritime theme in the bathroom would finish the look off as the bedrooms were so cute.
Location and ambiance.
Wi-fi is so weak in rooms.
Nice small hotel with a nice view of the Stockholm city hall from across the bay. Nothing beats the unique experience of staying in Stockholm like the their early settlers did on ships! The ship itself is completely gutted and transformed into a hotel. It is stable and does not rock. Rooms are tight and functional. Rooms are made everyday. There nice running hot water in the rooms too. The staff are very friendly and the complimentary breakfast is good too, with a flair of some Swedish selections, such as caviar paste & Knackebrot. The hotel location is pretty central in Södermalm, where you can get good pub and cafe food cheaper than in the city center area. The closest metro station is either Zinkensdamm south of the hotel (where you can climb up a hill behind the hotel to get excellent views overlooking the city) or Gamla stan (old town). The hotel has nice pub with very good ambiance at night, a nice buzzing nice place to hang out right behind the hotel. You get reasonable prices for hot food and beer and gets pretty busy at night, which could be noisy for the hotel guests. The restaurant/pub closes at 1am.
Rooms are pretty tight, but functional. In the absence of side table and a cupboard in my en-suite double room, could do with more shelves or hooks in the room to make use of the vertical space. The ship itself with metal walls is a large faraday cage, so don't expect wi-fi to be good. Wifi in the rooms is pretty bad, especially when the network is open and shared with the restaurant. Usable Wi-fi is available near the reception.
Friendly and motivated staff (but not around all the time), great view on the city, exciting atmosphere of a vintage steamship
Difficult parking facilities, no Wifi in the room (had to sit in public areas), the interior should have some repairs
Staff and accommodation.
Very nice view of City Hall. Nearly no shake. Staffs are kind and love to work. History of the ship. Calm in my cabin.
Wi-fi does not reach my cabin. About 2 km 30 min walk to the Central Station.
Good location not far from Gammla Stan and the centre.
We booked this hotel because we thought staying on a boat would be something a bit different. The novelty factor lasted but a few moments: we had an embankment-facing room with a beautiful view of a gangplank and, as they passed, people's feet. The room itself was tiny (we had a small double room, as that was all that was available); although it mentioned the bed size in the description - and so a limit to horizontal space was expected - no mention was made of the vertical limitations. In short, no one over 185cm can be comfortable in this room, and anyone tall will need to duck to avoid the sprinkler and other fittings. In the bathroom - which is shared with an unpleasant lingering smell - it is not even possible for a person over that height to stand upright. All of this might have been ok had the room had any character. However, if it ever had any, it has definitely lost it. The room was dingy and uninspiring. Even a good night's sleep can be elusive: half the boat is devoted to a bar, meaning an evening of bad music and loud drunkenness. And a regular parade of people up and down the gangplank that provides such an inspiring view. In the morning, a breakfast that aspires to - but falls someway short of - mediocre awaits. And don't expect the wifi to actually reach all the way to your room. In summary, we wouldn't recommend this delightful establishment, particularly given that the quality of the room in no way corresponds to the price that is charged for it. The experience may be better for those with a larger, riverside room, but for us this hotel was both a disappointment and a rip-off.
Very friendly with a great view.
First economy room was miniscule.
it has a lovely view
to walk with your backpack until the closet public transportation is not that easy!
I erroneously booked a double cabin instead of a twin - and since I was travelling with my sister this was a big problem!! Thomas and his wife were so helpful, despite being fully booked found a way to let us have a twin - that kind of service is fantastic - thank you! The Boat is spotless, the staff really friendly and just a great place to stay!
Wifi throughout the boat was advertised. Unfortunately it did not work in our cabin, but was available in the public areas
Nice place with amazing terrace! Well located and good staff.
Wifi on a boat is complicated but mostly because of boat metal structure than lack of network infrastructure. Mojito is horrible!
Too many bad experiences to mention. I will be taking my experiences to the newspaper,The tourist board etc
Best value for the money, ok breakfast location sentral. nice staff. nice bed
View from the terrace bar was lovely, comfortable mattress with nice sheets, spacious sitting room with antique decor to match the history of the ship. Waking distance to a nice neighborhood.
Our room was under the gangplank and extremely noisy until the bar closed at one in the morning. Combined with the very small size of the room, I would expect a lower price.
Central location, buffet breafast included, nice view of the city from the breakfast-room. Cosy open-air bar on the upper-deck, regular swedish prices.
Ruined, smelly, dirty room. Broken toilet-tank. Do not be fooled by the photos, its not like that!
Location was perfect, rooftop bar was great and breakfast was Nice as well
Rooms are small, but that is what you expect from a ship. Bathrooms can be better equipped.
staff was very helpfull. Felt very looked after.
Taxi drivers in Stockholm suck.... Nothing to do with hotel, just venting:-)
Location was perfect. Not so far from Viking Line and really close to center.
The room was not so nice. Poor breakfast, really poor. We had room with street "view" but it was not the worst thing. From one side there is entrance to the hotel and from another to the restaurant. We couldn't sleep because of people which went to the ship restaurant. And then at 4 or 5am drunk and loud people went home so you can imagine. The entrance to the restaurant is not well made or it's just old because you could hear each step. Either ask for room with sea view or just do not go there. It wasn't so expensive 150eur for 2 nights but ok, never again. I am really sorry but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody.
