Good situation, small but practicle bath-room , good bed and nice atmosphere thanks to the furniture and decorations .

Impossible to find an agreement to have dinner there , room too small for the price, even no space for a small ward-robe , no bread left for breakfast at 9 am , you have to cross the restaurant to go to the corridor with your room !

Sadly, I was very disappointed with my stay at Hotel Maria. I had found the hotel on the internet and the reviews were very good. I also liked the look of the rooms as they were shown in the photos. In my opinion the photos and the reviews did not live up to my expectations. Location is great, but once you actually enter the hotel you are met by a really rather worn looking carpet and tacky decor. There was no one at reception when we arrived and eventually I had to go in search for a member of staff who as it turned out did not know how to manage the reception desk and then, in turn, had to call a colleague who handed us the keys, although he told us that he was not familiar with the system and we could therefore not pay at that point. It was suggested we pay prior to checking out in the morning, When we stated that we were leaving relatively early (6 am) we were told that there would be no one there to process the payment so perhaps we could come back later and pay that evening. A little basic an unprofessional in my mind. I was under the impression, based on what it stated on my order confirmation, that the room we had booked would have either 1920's art Deco theme or 1950's style decor. To my great surprise when I got to the room it was the 1970's party room with a disco ball in the ceiling. I think it is great and very nice with individually decorated rooms, however, I do more than anything prioritise cleanliness and this room was not clean and not in good decorative order. It felt as if all the furniture and soft furnishings had been purchased from an Oxfam store or equivalent and simply thrown together without actually being cleaned in advance. The bed side table had sticky ringmarks on the top and the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty. There were two brown/orange bathrobes on the back of the bathroom door that looked as if they had been there for some time and not washed since the last occupant had vacated.

The hotel was convenient to the Helsingborg transportation center and just across from the scenic Mariakyrkan. The room was comfortably and elegantly appointed in all respects. We enjoyed our dinner at the tapas restaurant the night we checked in, and the breakfast buffet offered exceptional variety and authenticity in its Swedish menu items.

This is a minor quibble -- the point of entry to the hotel could be more clearly marked. Fortunately, the helpful staff quickly noticed our uncertainty and provided appropriate directions.

Läget! Atmosfären! Personalen! Rummet! Priset! Ett litet gemytligt och smakligt inrett hotell mitt i Helsingborgs city. Varje rum har sin stil och det är just det som gör Hotel Maria! Lägg därtill den trevliga personalen, närheten till city samt till Danmark, så blir det helt klart massor av stjärnor från oss.

Hotelrummets morgonrockar och allt service till detta bla badartiklar.

Det var för lyhört ut mot gården och dörrar som stängdes inne från hotellet.

Att det var ett mindre hotell med något av familjekänsla.

Trevlig atmosfär, Mysigt och vänlig och service inriktad personal.

Detta var så j..... häftigt! Denna renovering, är något ut över det vanliga. Vilket jobb! Personalen är i samma standard, så in i bomben trevliga och duktiga. Nackdelen med att skriva så här mycket positivt, är att vi kanske inte får något rum nästa gång vi SKA dit. Då lär det va fullt? Vi kommer att försöka iaf. Bättre än så här lär det inte bli?

Jag hatar att skriva något här....Men jag måste! Det fanns en väldigt konstig lukt i rummet! Jag tror? Det va något medel för träbevaring? Men skit samma! Vi överlevde, och allt positivt övervägde dett lilla.

At værelserne var indrettet i epoker var en sjov detalje og årsagen til at vi valgte netop Hotel Maria. Indretningen i øvrigt var rigtig hyggelig og varm, og gjorde, at vi følte os hjemme. Morgenmaden var fin med et rimeligt udvalg.

Jeg kunne godt ønske mig, at der var mulighed for at lave sig en kop kaffe eller the på værelset, så en el-koger og nogle thebreve og pulverkaffe ville have været et stort plus

Romantikkänslan. Enkelt ovh charmigt.

Basdrummet var då kallt att man skrek till när man satte sig på toaletten (ingen värme i huvud taget)
