Mornington Hotel Stockholm

Perfect location in the middle of the trendy area of Stockholm close to good restaurants and bars, yet still a quiet retreat. It was a 5 min walk away from the museums and boat trips also and 2 min from the nearest metro station. The room was incredibly comfortable, clean and the hotel provided a great breakfast selection for all tastes. Very good value for money for Stockholm.

Perhaps to be aware of is that there is a small amount of building work going on to one side of the hotel so for those staying between now and the beginning of Summer 2013 (when they're supposed to finished) perhaps ask for a garden facing room if you're a very light sleeper. For us there was minimal disruption (no more noise than you'd expect in a city) you just had to make sure you were dressed when opening the blackout blinds!!

The location is excellent. You can easily walk to the center and to the Old Town and most of the attractions. The rooms are very small but comfortable and if you are on a city trip you cannot expect to have big room and frankly you do not need it. The breakfast is excellent, you have something for every taste (maybe not much choice for vegan travelers). The staff is friendly and nice.

Very small, but quiet, comfortable, perfectly clean and nicely decorated room (superior double). OK for 1-2 nights, but I would book a larger room if staying longer. Comfortable beds. Coffee/tea maker in room. Nice lounge area / bar on ground floor. Excellent location! Two minutes from subway.

No space to put down your plate when getting your breakfast from the buffet (e.g. when you slice your bread). Saw many guests struggling with this. Small 'flaw' but irritating in the morning and could easily be fixed. Avoid breakfast room right next to buffet if you're sensitive to noise (stone floor). Much comfier/quiet tables in the bar/lounge area.

Good location, very close to subway station, excellent breakfast and friendly stuff.

The king bed was a bit small, but could be neglect..

The hotel was quiet at night and the bed was really comfortable.

The hotel is excellent in its category. Relation between price and service is positive. The hotel is in the best location in the city. We have extended the stay for another day and get the same price, even though it was for the day higher. Personal professional and accommodating. Cleanliness of the hotel is excellent. The room was clean, fresh and well-maintained - comfortable bed, and all the amenities I need, but not a lot of "stuff" you don't need. Good breakfast, good gym facilities.

Wifi access is complicated and annoying - requiring me to log in again and again.

Wonderful hotel very close to everything. Breakfast was great and filling, and we even ate dinner one night there and were pleasantly surprised by how tasty (and inexpensive) it was! Beds were comfortable, staff were helpful and gave us a free night in the spa just because we asked! And I loved the books. What a great touch!

- Synthetic bedding/duvets - not enough info in English about the "spa"/sauna facilities at the hotel. The staff did not seem very interested in encouraging me to use it when I asked about it - no safe in room to store valuables - small, worn bath towels - the bedroom doors close noisily so one can hear people going in and out of their rooms in the evening/early morning - room too hot - could not change the thermostat

We had a wonderful experience staying in Mornington Hotel. Although, we stayed there only one night we enjoyed it a lot. We arrived a couple of hours before the check-in time and were accommodated immidiately. The room wasn't very spacious, but even with a small kid we had enough space. The hotel has unique decor. It full of books about Sweden: they are everywhere, in rooms, reception area and lounge. The most pleasant surprise was the breakfast. It was diverse and freshly cooked. The hotel is also perfect locationwise. Ostermalm is a nice part of the city with good restaurants and shopping. The subway station Ostermalmstorg is a 2-minutes walk from the hotel. At last, when we were departing for the airport the hotel receptionist called us a taxi at a very low (as for Sweden) price. I would definately recommend staying at the Mornington Hotel either for business or leisure.

There was no extra plates to eat from with that breakfast. We wroked it out, but they forgot to add them to the cart.
