Fantastic hotel that looks like and feels like a library study. Books in the lobby that remind you of a library and rooms that have books on bookshelves where you feel like you're in your own study. Very unique place with restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance with most of them right across the street. Highly recommend...

We really enjoyed the comfortable feel of the hotel. It was quiet, in a good location and very nicely decorated. We loved the restaurant and bar area that has the feel of a library. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially in the restaurant.

The privacy of the bathroom in our room felt non existent as the door is see through and not very well masked with only partially frosted glass. Also the cleaning could have been a bit better as there were stains and hair on towels and also stains on the bedding.

Fantastic location, helpful staff. Breakfast was very good, room comfortable, clean and tidy. Hotel has a "book theme" which gives it a homely feel. Wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

    Room was quite small.

The Mornington Hotel is a great location! It is walking distance to just about anywhere, and is in a moderate price range. The staff are very nice and extremely helpful. Buffet breakfast was outstanding. I would stay there again!

The only difficulty for us was the shower. It had no rim between between it and the floor and made it difficult not to flood.

Great breakfast. Helpful reception staff. Made us a sandwich when we had to leave very early, before breakfast was served. Located a block away from Saluhall, an interesting food market. Close to Metro and #44 bus. Three blocks to harbor. Lots of books in lobby and some in room. Very pleasant lobby. Great wi-fi.

When we first got to the room, there was a bad odor coming from the bathroom. I identified it as sewer gases and poured water into the floor drain, even though the shower and sink waste water were channeled into the drain, my additional water helped. The smell was gone within an hour or so.

Visited Stockholm for 2 days and Mornington was a great hotel for our visit. Great location, easy to get to the area sights and the tram stop. Nice selection of resturants in the area.

Our third stay. 1. Personnel are pleasant. 2. Interesting décor with thousands of books (you can take some if you wish - we did not) in the lobby and rooms. 3. Very popular bar/restaurant on opposite side of street (not part of hotel). 4. Good value for money considering location. 5. Recommended. Will return.

    1. We had booked a "superior" room which turned out to be on the 5th. Floor overlooking the "garden" (hmmmm...). The room was too small for two adults with fairly large suitcases. 2. But the "superior" room had a fridge. Finding the room too cramped we switched to an "executive" room (SEK 150/night extra) on the 2nd. floor. Better - more space. But no fridge! Weird. 3. I recommend the hotel make this clear when folks check in because when I asked about the fridge thing I was told that the "executive" rooms on floors 3 and above have fridges but are smaller than "executive" rooms on the 2nd floor. 4. Finally, not being a great fan of reality TV, Big Brother, etc. I have to say that the small "superior" 5th. floor room had a glass door to the bathroom. So if watching someone on the toilet is "your thing" then go for it. I know it's the modern way but not appreciated by me and many others. Architects and interior designers ... think again.

    Breakfast buffet was excellent

Not enough coffee, not enough towels. Wrote a month ahead about red eye early arrival with request for early check in. There may have been no choice- but staff had us sit in lobby for three hours before providing a room

We loved the room, which although small, was very functional and comfortable. The wifi worked well. The hotel foyer was a big plus, with plenty of space to sit with coffee or a drink in the evening. The breakfast was very ample and varied, and we also had dinner one evening in the restaurant, which was very good.

I personally found the room hot, and it did not appear to be possible to open the window. For this reason I did not sleep so well, but my husband had no issues!

The breakfast was amazing with something for every taste. The vegetarians in our party were fully satsified with the wide choice available. The rapsberry fruit smoothies are absolutely delicious, as are the mini brownies and crossints. Definitely worth staying there just for the breakfast!

You have to keep logging back into the wifi as you don't stay logged in - it says the log in last 24 hours but it doesn't even keep you logged in for a couple of hours at a time!

-Excellent location for short way to shopping and dining -Parking cellar (remember to book ahead) -Good quality wifi -Good quality on rooms

-Small rooms -For parking cellar: cat maximum 1.9m tall (mine was exactly and was OK, but had to retract radio antenna) -Bed was to springy and hard for my back. My wife was OK with it though.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The area is quiet and yet within a walking distance from the center of the city. The reception area and the breakfast lounge are very nicely designed and decorated (library style). The little garden is also very nice especially if the weather is good. The breakfast is adequate.

The rooms are in need of a renovation.

The ambience, to be surrounded by books that were not only a messy detail of interior decoration, which seems to be the normal thing today, but interesting works from various fields, and all in good order, thanks to a librarian belonging to the staff. All the normal things you expect to find at a good hotel were there, too, of course. Breakfast was well planned, and there was lots of space. I appreciated the time schedule, breakfast until 11 is perfect for a person sleepy in the morning.

There was nothing that I directly disliked, but I can mention some shortcomings (not unusual at the best hotels): reading in bed was a little difficult due to the type and place of the reading lamp; woman customers would appreciate better lights for putting on the make-up.
