Rica Hotel Gamla Stan    

This hotel is nicely located in the Gamla Stan area, a quaint old neighborhood. If it gets too touristy (cruise ships dock not far away), take a quick ferry to the vasa Museum.

The location is great, in the middle of the old town of Stockholm and very close to the metro station. Essential room and staff very kind.

Great location in Gamla stan. Has the best atmosphere out off all the hotels in Stocholm we have stayed in. Over the years it has been a few. The rooms are cosy with a touch of luxury. The staff were also very friendly and helpfull. We were three couples traveling together and we will recommend this hotel, both for small groups of friends and couples. You also get the historic feeling of living in Gamla Stan!! A perfect stay, and we will definetely return!!

THis is a charming hotel in an old (1620) building in the Old Town (Gamla Stan). The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms small but quaint and the breakfast excellent. Location is great for local sightseeing.

The area was a bit noisy at night and in the early morning with trash pick up.

1. Location - is just wonderful. It's located in the old town of Stockholm. So you can walk the city. Close to the Gamla Stan metro station (2 min walking), if you travel from the airport or just use the subway - you can get there very fast. 2. Value for money - the hotel is quite small, not crowded, clean, very cozy. 3. The Hotel offers tea/coffee and cookies free of charge during the afternoon and in the evening. Small, but very pleasant thing. (Especially taking into consideration prices in Stockholm :) 4. Breakfast is nice and simple. I liked very much the option of making fresh orange juice for myself there! 5. Building itself is interesting. So, if you like nice small hotels with a cozy atmosphere, it's definitely the right choice.

Family with 2 young children, New Year holidays. Very good romantic hotel in historic center for short stay. Friendly staff, good and tastly meal, helpfull receptionists, exellent location for city trips especially with children. All of us are glad. Shall recommend Rica Hotel to my friends.

Not exactly I do not like but that is the consequence of location (Gamla Stan and old building) - not big rooms. BUT! That is giving you some romantic view on your relations. :)

very little bathroom, clean not every day

At the time of booking I asked for parking service since we planned to be late for an important event. We also got that in writing on the booking confirmation. Note that this service is mentioned on Rica´s web page at a cost of 200 SEK and that we have used it at an earlier visit to the hotel. Upon arrival I was told that the parking service was terminated and got some weak advice where to find a parking place. Due to lack of time I had to choose the first parking available to a cost of 500 SEK and was close to miss the event that was the only purpose for my visit to Stockholm. We will consider other hotels and other means of travelling at the next visit to Stockholm.

The location of the hotel couldn't be better. The hotel is very nice, my room was comfortable, cosy, very clean and very well organized. The bathroom was very modern and clean. The breakfast smörgåsbord was very well stoked.
