Rica Hotel Gamla Stan

Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to the Metro. Hotel is clean, room is nice and comfortable.

A comfortable clean and quiet room, vintage style, abundant breakfast, wireless interenet, friendly hotel staff, hospitable atmosphere.

There was a bit cold in the bathroom (during the winter period).

Brilliant location – right in the heart of the city center Gamla Stan. And 2 min by walk to the metro station. Vast majority of the city sightseeing are in a very small walking distance. Car pickup service is very convenient and cheap (be careful, don’t park your car near the hotel for the overnight time – police is checking this almost every night). Breakfasts are very delicious. There is elevator which is something that is good to see in the old building, like all buildings in the Gamla Stan.

It was a little bit quite noisy one night because of the guys who cleaned streets from snow during the night period (at 3am I think). They did it in a very strange way with a tractor (it looks like they choose the noisiest and most ineffective way to do this). All the rest nights were Ok.

I like everything! cozy, beautiful little hotel - a true part of the Old Town. Excellent staff, free coffee and tea with cakes anytime, good breakfast.... We found an exit to the little roof on the 4th floor - a romantic place to drink a cup of coffee and to admire the roofs of the Gamla Stan.

The room was very nice, not as on all other hotelrooms. We could walk to most facilities we wanted to see.

The location is superb, in the heart of the old town, really pretty. The intimate, turn of century atmoshpere is very charming. Coffee and lovely biscuits are available for the guests in a traditional style cupboard in reception at all times, thus making the elegant reception area a very welcoming place to stop in. On the whole, this is a super charming, very special place to stay in Stockholm.

Loved the location...walking distance to most things. Free internet service in the lobby. Free breakfast was wonderful....staff very polite and helpful with answering questions about best places to eat....etc

Small bathroom

Wonderfull polyglot, knowledgeable, patient, helpful, smiling staff ! Beds really comfortable. I admired the many discreet touches I discovered in the rooms : "green"(not wasteful), thoughtful and practical. The situation : history, culture, arts. Close to transport and beautiful harbour so close. I love the Gustavian atmosphere ! Here is an idea : it would be even better if the old velvet curtains were covered with the delightful blue and white checked linen. It would keep the warmth but look more up-to-date, fresh ... and Swedish.

The incredibly, use-less, miniature washbasin in room 102 ! a thought : the situation of the cooked-breakfast in that awkward corner slows down the process.

We really enjoyed this charming hotel in a really good location in Stockholm. Breakfast was probably the best I have ever seen in a hotel, well served, generous and tons of selection. We also found a nice spot to enjoy a bottle of wine on the roof among the chimney pots. Really lovely, not fancy and we felt great value for money.
