Value for money, great location

The hotel is more like a hostel and requires a complete makeover - the tap water was brown for the fist minute - the shower was on a 30 second timer Looks impressive from the outside - very tatty on the inside This cost ~£120 B&B, I would have been annoyed paying £50 The breakfast was a cold buffet and not very inviting Stay here at your peril - had I been staing more than one night, I would have checked out and taken my chances on the street

The Intenet connection was weak, slow and very unstable, not just for me but for other hotel guest too. Beacause of poor Internet I won't recommend this hotel

Good breakfast included (and an early breakfast provided for early leavers), helpful staff - comfortable lounge with television, (swedish) papers and coffee. Convenient location near bus and railway staiton and close to city centre. Chinese and other resturants nearby.

Near the trams so a little noisy when they went round the corner. Rooms on river side would probably have been quieter.

Very nice hotel in deed, in the middle of town

A bit noisy, you have plenty of trams on the street just outside.

No frills, no hassle stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating helping. The breakfast was lovely a nice big buffet with loads of choice. I actually upgraded to en suite as did not spot the shared bathroom when I booked. I stayed with my wife who is 6.5 months pregnant and my 21 month old daughter. It was cosy and the room was of an ok standard considering the cost of hotels nearby. We only stayed one night though and you may kick yourself for not going for a more expensive room in another hotel if like us you have your hands full.

The location was great. Right near the central station, and in the heart of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful also. Breakfast was ok, decent variety. Despite being in a very central location, there was very little noise.

The hotel room was uncomfortably hot at night, making it very difficult to sleep.

The location is excellent, right in the centre of Gothenburg. Only a five minutes' walk from the railway station and less than that from the Brunnsparken square. The staff are really polite and helpful. The restaurant right next door to the hotel is very nice and popular at evenings.

The rooms are a bit small and don't have private toilets or showers. There is noise from the Gothenburg trams as the very central Brunnsparken stop is located right next door, but this is easily helped with earplugs. The breakfast buffet is a bit bland, I would liked to have scrambled eggs and bacon, and croissants for afters. It looked like there is a whole wing of the hotel that isn't used for anything other than going to the breakfast buffet. Maybe the hotel has undergone renovations? Curiously, the hotel can't seem to make up its mind about whether it's called the Robinson or the Palace. =)

Friendliness of staff, location, and breakfast buffet.

Overpriced, small rooms, very noisy as you had trams driving by at all hours making for 2 very sleepless nights.

For a short city break the location was superb, next to local trams, buses, trains and airport bus. Huge shopping centre close with tourist info office. Very clean room and fine breakfast. Helpful staff. Small lounge with all day coffee and buscuits.

Dual name - booked as Hotel Robinson but Hotel Palace signed. Booked a room with shared toilet / shower. Not a problem except that floor after showering was slippy thermoplastic. Would have liked bbc World as extra tv station.
