Classy old hotel (if somewhat rundown), big & bright room. Lots of wonderful old decor/details. Breakfast was served in the old bar/restaurant with nice look onto busy square.

Often there was no warm water in handwash/shower - neither in room or in shared bathroom: most unsatisfactory!

Only location was good and restaurant where the breakfast was served was beautiful.

I don't understand how they call themselves Palace Hotel. There was nothing about Palace. I would call this place more hostel than hotel. It's old, when you enter hotel there are some old furniture clotted in from of you. Bathroom is smelly and room was super small. Paying 100 euro per night it definitely a rubbery!

The hotel is very good located in the city center. The breakfast is good and was held in the restaurant downstairs and looks nice.

Hotel is very modest and the rooms and bathroom are very outdated.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, included, buffetstyle with lots of good food.

The hallways need some renovation, but the room itself was clean and fresh.

Convenience to Central Station

Work on current renovations started at 7am. So, having arrived after 1am, I did not much sleep.

its very convenient once you get down at gothenburg as the hotel is near to central train station , bus station & shopping area

There was a fire on my stay during the night keeping us awake for 2 hrs..Hotel could have paid back some of the money.After all it is not my problem.

Perfect location right in the heart of the city.

Rooms were a bit small , wifi didn't work if you were too far from reception

Actually the hotel was under some construction work. Hotel was not very clean. It would have been ok if cheaper.

The bathroom did not have a shower cabinet, and I had to wipe the floor every time I had a shower. The floor in the bathroom did not fall towards the drain.

Chosen for it's location.. I wanted somewhere close to the station. Friendly staff. The room was basic, but fine.

No hot water! - not even warm so I couldn't wash or take a shower.. I had to leave very early and had very little time - otherwise I would have complained at reception. This must have been a temporary fault.. But it ruined the rest of my day.

We stayed for just one night, but it was enough time to appreciate the central position of the hotel, the kind staff, and the nice and pretty quiet room. Also the building looks lovely from the outside.

Honestly, we enjoyed our (short) stay. The only defects we could make mention of are minor: the breakfast room was a bit small, and the Internet connection was temporarily out of service (but would have been restored on the following day).

Location was just perfect, near the central station, near Nordstan Shoppinc center, near Avenyen. Everyhting was very close by. That was great! We got a very clean room, and a very comfy bed.

The breakfast room was very crowdy, with no place to sit. The food ran out in minutes. They had some issues with their wireless internet, the entire trip, that wasn't too good.

The hotel is very well placed, near the train station. On an other hotel, Booking.com lose our reservation and they warn me just few hours before the first night.
