Rygerfjord hotel has amazing view of Stockholm! Very comfortable bed, small private toilet with shower, safe for valuable things. Breakfast are light and tasty.
Unfortunately my cabin has a view of a street, not the Gamla stan and City Hall.
The view from the ship The location The common room
Location is great but, even for a solo traveller, I would better have one bigger bed than 2 small on top of each other...
Breakfast is not that good, poor choice Access to the boat from the public transport is not easy Smell from the toilet into the corridor
Staff was excellent, very nice and helpful.
The boat was swinging too much and made us sea sick a couple of times. The bathroom was not clean at all and strange people were sleeping in the shower...
1)the charm of staying on a boat. 2) friendly staff
1) next to the toilet. Toilet is noisy. 2) Wifi signal is too weak in the rooms
Fun staying on a docked ship in a room for 6 with our 3 boys (18,16,13). We had our own WC and 2 showers. Good area where we could walk to Gamla Stan, the train station, Sodermalm. Staff was very nice. It was quiet at night. Fast internet. Stored our luggage there on our check-out day.
Just a comment: know that everything is expensive in Stockholm.
+ small but very comfy cabins and amazing view at the riverside + bike rental + very helpful staff
- breakfast should be included
You could rent bikes, very friendly staff, cute/cozy small rooms, nice that it was on the water/boat, close to the city center.
lots of roadworks in the area so a bit hard to navigate the first time to the boat. The beds were too soft, not much space in the room. Toilets and showers were OK.
The boatrestaurang. Hotel was in a good area in Stockholm and a beautiful view over the water. Not from the cabin but from the deck.
The window didn´t open more the a couple of centimeters. And this summer was so hot. Lucky I bring my fan to the room. Without that fan I would fry like an egg in a pan. The stove in the kitchen was so slow that it had gone faster to run up to a restaurang 2 km away and order coffey there. The trashcan in the kitchen was never change during my three nights. But it´s a good value for the money.
Only one electric socket. When you use tap, the shower goes off. Some nonsense furniture above bed.
Location, kitchen facilities. Staff switched our room after we had booked what we thought was an upgraded room with private bath. it was so small you couldn't turn around in it and very hot. We got a sea view hostel room which was a vast improvement.
Do not book on the older boat. Go for the hostel rooms with shared bath. Rooms are newer and more spacious. Loud concert music comes right across the water at night and no air conditioning so you can't close the windows.
We stayed on Rygerfjord III - the cabins were lovely, clean, exactly as described and the view was 5 star. The toilets and showers were checked and clean every day as was the kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of space for food etc (we made our own breakfast). The staff were outstanding - they were always helpful, positive, polite and very pleasant to deal with. We also tried the bar and restaurant - again, both the service, food and drinks were faultless.
Only a couple of minor things 1. We could have done with a few more coat hangers in our cabin. 2. One of the showers - the holder for the showerhead was broken, so you had to hold it in your hand. 3. It would have been good if there was a 'floor scraper' to clear away the water in the shower - because the boat was leaning slighty the water ended up sloshing about a bit. However, these were minor issues and did not detract from a fantastic stay.
The new facilities and the big kitchen. We loved the fact that somebody kept the flowers we had to leave in our room and put them in the kitchen after we left.
It was really warm inside, despite temperature dropping strongly outside. The windows need to open more! We had one of the bunkbed rooms on Rygerfjord III and having such a big window is no use if one can't open it. Also, wifi was extremely poor in the room.
We had a nice stay at the Rygerfjord Hotel, which is made up of three docked boats/ships. We had a spectacular view of Stockholm from our room, although not all rooms have a view. Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Although we had a shared bathroom and shower, we never had to wait. Good location. I think that it was a good value in Stockholm, where nothing is cheap.
Excelent location. Very nice kitchen. Free parking. Quiet. 10 min. walk to city center. Very friendful staff.
I could recommend the place if possible car/street noise is not a problem for one's sleep. Very nice firm bed. Our cabin was roomy, and apparently very reasonably priced for Stockholm. Good curtains to prevent light entering. If you like walking it is easy to reach old city from here, also metro stop is quite near. Breakfast OK for price. WLAN was working well, but only in the bathroom. :-)
Noise from nearby street pretty much prevented me sleeping in night. Noise was very loud considering reasonably low amount of cars and low speed. (Stone wall reflected sound straight to street-side upper cabins of the ship?) My girlfriend was not bothered (she is from Moscow...) though, but I am unable to recommend this for light sleepers and personally can't visit here again. Shower cabin was slightly broken (very difficult to close properly), but no any major problems.
my second time here but first time in the summer and i will be back next year for sure.value for money staff location all excellent. sitting at the end of the boat watching sunset and sunrise over the city is a must as long as the weather is nice of course.
that i only booked 3 nights there.
Good shower! Clean toilet! Free towel! Own sink in room.
Very hot in room. Really noisy neighbourhood (drunk people and passing cars)
It was a great staying for 3 nights here in a summer time. Excellent location for sure, nice staff with gentle and helpful attitude, cleaness is beyond my expectation that although you need to put on the sheet by yourself as a hostel standard, but everything was ironed very tidy and comfortable! For cleaness, also the common washroom was cleaned very fredquent as I could see. What makes me feel great is that the boat is not waving at all for sleeping. Even the little pat of waves on the ship body, the sound made you even want to sleep more tight without feeling wave! Nice stay and recommend to you.
The sound proofing which was weak when your cabin was closed to a common washroom, which is understandable since all of the boat is made by wood. Not too much trouble for me though.
Lovely and unique place to stay, beautiful views. Compact room but everything you need for a short stay. Very good breakfast and lovely bar- good cocktails. Helpful staff. Lovely stay:)
Boat was a little rocky at times, but to be expected. Otherwise no issues!
All the staff were particularly helpful and pleasant.
Very fun experience to try. We were very satisfy with the botel. Definitely something to try!
convenience, atmosphere, great value for money
the sewage smell that occasionally came from the bathroom (it wasn't us!)
Rygerfjord is a converted old ship and the cabins are compact but had everything we expected. The staff were great and there is plenty of outside seating both inside and outside, to get out of the wind and away from the smokers. Its central location, only 10 minutes walk to the old town centre, and superb views of the harbour make it ideal for those who want something slightly different without paying a fortune. It was just what we had hoped for.
Nothing really but don't expect a luxury liner. Think more slightly upmarket backpackers
Great location on the water with fabulous view. Charming public areas on top of ship and inside. Good breakfast worth the money. Close to transport or could walk. Not noisey.good price. Wifi worked well.
Room was very small which we expected but it was hot and stuffy in early June. That wouldn't be a problem except in summer. We spent all our time out of it but it was a bit hot for sleeping.
