Nice, comfortable room. It was a nice hotel, anyway the service of the breakfast almost at the hall should be changed. |

The staff were very friendly and let me check in early. The room was very comfortable and the location was very central. The free breakfast was really good and the 50 SEK ticket to the attached pub was a really good deal. While the hotel was a little pricier than I was initially willing to pay, it was well worth it! |

Very mixed about this hotel. On the one hand: good bed, large room, microwave in the room, friendly staff. On the other hand: room cleaning was poor (we found personal belongings of previous guests under the bed, room wasn't cleaned/beds weren't made for 2 days), and basics you expect in a hotel this price were missing: no safe deposit, no shower caps, no power adaptors at reception. Also info about facilities and parking in town were not correct, which cost us money, |

I found the reception staff to be very helpful and friendly - they answered all my questions and provided maps and useful directions. I liked how close Hotel Uppsala was to everything - It was in a very good location. I also liked the buffet breakfast served - there was lots of variety of food/drink and I thought it was great that they serve until 11am, as other hotels usually finish breakfast earlier. I also liked the variety of TV channels they had in the rooms, and the heated towel rails. I also liked how the wardrobe was very large to fit all our belongings. The cleanliness of the room was a problem for me. Everywhere was very dusty, and the dust transferred onto the things I put onto the desk/bedside table. The cleaners never changed our sheets during our stay. I had a coffee in the room one day and the used cup was never taken from the room/cleaned/replaced. I did not like our bath, or how the water from the shower head leaks onto the floor. I also didn't like how the shelving in the shower area fills with water everytime you take a shower. We visited Hotel Uppsala on a hot week, and the room got very hot and was uncomfortable to sleep in. We did not want to open our windows because the outside area was open to other guests and we were afraid someone may try to come into our room. Although Sweden seems like a very safe place (safer than England!), it seems we are brought up to be extra cautious and so we were worried to leave our window open. It is possible that your ground floor rooms and rooms that others can easily access could benefit from air conditioning. The cleaners always left our window wide open also, and we didn't like this when we came back to the room as someone could have entered our room to steal our belongings while we were out. The rooms may benefit from a safe or another box that valuable items can be locked in. |

Staff was very helpful. Hotel is very conveniently located close to the central station and shopping center. Breakfast menu could have been more elaborate to include continental/american style. |

Clean, simple Scandinavian design of rooms, free internet connections, excellent breakfast and large area for eating, suggestion from the staff that I stay in free weekend parking near the railroad tracks only 1.5 blocks away. Very much appreciated. Well located to city. Easy to find. Not really. I took the hint from another guest that I should bring an eye mask (can't thing of the official word!) for the very early sunrises. I was glad I did since the room we had was on the east side of the building. |
