The decor was old, dusty and mis-matched. The bathroom was dingy and the shower leaked all over the floor. The room was cluttered with strange furniture and old lamps. The light-shades were covered in dust and the door handles fell off when I opened the door. We were given only one key for the room between two of us. The key had a huge ugly weight attached to it. The Wi-Fi was terrible. I could barely loud a web page.

The hotel is not for those seeking to be pampered, but I found it to have some advantages over fancier hotels. Firstly, I can go get a free cup of espresso and a snack whenever I feel like. I don't like being waited on hand and foot so it was nice to have the option of grabbing something by myself without worrying about room service charges. The breakfast buffet was no frills but generous in selection. The staff is also very courteous, but without that overbearing sense of service. I felt like I was a freeloader staying in a comfortable home of a friend because it was so inexpensive considering its location. On that note, the hotel is in an extremely convenient location and made access to the shopping areas quite easy. Since the hotel is affordable you will still have money to spend on things. Also, the climate control in the room was very efficient and the windows were excellent so the cold winter was no bother. The TV was outdated and calling outside from the room was difficult. No room fridges.

The hotel is not luxurious, but certainly comfortable for the price paid. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was fine and generally plentiful, but did notice that the boiled eggs ran out on the Saturday morning - concern amongst those who seemed to need to start their day with an egg! Good coffee in reception area all day - machine ran out / broke down, but sorted within 24 hours. Some bits of the fabric were a bit tired - more in need of a bit of light maintenance than anything significant. Would still recommend.

I loved the location. It was a 10 minute tram ride from the centre of Gothenburg, and just a 2 minute walk around the corner from the tram stop. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they let us check out the next day but leave our bags in the hotel until our flight. The breakfast was amazing, the choice and amount of food on offer was unreal. It was buffet style so you can go up as many times as you like. Our room was so much bigger than we expected. The bathroom was a nice size, and the room had two twin beds, a sofa, spare blankets and pillows, a desk, a TV, a chandelier and a booklet to help you with any FAQ. I have to say, I have never slept in a bed so comfy. Definite value for money! There were no plugs near the mirror in our room, but that is literally the only complaint :-)

The location of this hotel was perfect, we were in walking distance of the museums and shops and restaurants. Our hotel room was much bigger than we expected so this added to the comfort of our stay. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. There was a good choice of items.

With a non refundable reservation they still changed lodging to the next night when we found out our plane had a layover. The room was large, very clean and comfortable, down duvee and pillow, comfortable beds. Breakfast was absolutely delightful, delicious and plentyful. The staff was so kind. When unable to use the computer and figure out the phone in our room one young lady behind the desk dialed and let me talk on the cell phone. Though this was an old hotel the staff and food and room was first class. Highly recommend this hotel to stay at.

Ideally located. A short 5-10min walk from Avenyn. Breakfast was excellent. We are a group of guys in our mid-late twenties who are quite health conscious and we thought the breakfast exceeded our expectations. The staff are friendly and helpful.

A beautiful location, very easily reached by tram, with excellent staff who went out of their way to help us with everything ... even doing our laundry overnight! And then when a tram refused to stop and we decided to set off walking the receptionist chased us down the road to apologise and to offer further help. There is a fantastic restaurant/bar just down the road. The free coffee and cakes were a nice treat when walking in and out of the hotel. Would most definitely recommend this and would always try to stay here again if coming to Gothenberg.

Really good location, practically in the middle of the everything. Not so clean room, really basic facilities, quite expensive for what if offers. If the same hotel was situated far from the centre it would have been a disaster.

The City Centre location is very convenient. Secure parking is available at 120 SKr a day. Take care unloading luggage though - we got a 400 SKr parking fine! It has to be paid if you envisage returning to Sweden. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. Run down and definitely in need of refurbishment. Our room, though clean, had a musty, damp feel to it. Buffet breakfast distinctly Swedish with only a limited choice. Choose this hotel only as a last resort in a very overpriced City.

Nice staff, nice location, coffee 24h. The one thing I didn't like was the wireless internet. It was so slow I couldn't even book a train ticket at sj due to session time-out.

The location is great; plenty of bars and restaurants within a five minute walk, and close to "everything". Although the hotel is old and a bit worn, it's clean, and the rooms are quite ok. The breakfast room is way too small when the hotel is fully booked. Security is non-excistent; passed the lobby several times with no staff present.
