Great old-stylish hotel with the true spirit of of adventure! Magnificent design, hand-made legends of the Swedish captains for every room, sail ships all over the hotel and even old-stylish keys with seal. In the room all made long time ago with exact precisely size and all just in place. I do not mention restaurant-style served breakfast. You will have no regret to choose the hotel. Book it with no doubt! The only thing we missed - a little kettle to make a tea at night. But it's a nagging. 7 eleven right on the corner.

Excellent quiet location. Nice interior design. Good restaurant. The bathroom is rather big but its layout is stupid. The shower is combined with pretty small Jacuzzi, which is comfortable for an individual bellow 140cm tall. On other hand, getting in Jacuzzi just to take shower is not so comfortable due to high and thick walls. The shower itself is intended for individuals bellow 175cm tall.

I lovely hotel in the middle of "Gamla Stan" i Stockholm. Well worth just taking a walk looking at the collections, nautical items and models and old cabinets and floor watches painted in traditional swedish style, loved how the firedoors were incorperated as a part of the display cabinets. Nice detail! The breakfast is served in the basement there the ruins of an old tower are shown, the sauna / lounge downstairs also features more archology finds. The resturant "Djuret" next doors holds a very high quality, and if it doesnt suit you there is dozens of places within easy walking distance. Decently sized individually decorated rooms with minibar, good sized tv, and (An old) Bang Olufsen stereo, not any street noise at all. The breakfast wasnt as good as the rest of the hotel, just an ordinary hotel breakfast with nothing special (Except the ruin in the breakfast room ;-) ) Also I am no big fan of the system of having to book the sauna, would be nice with atleast some public hours. The room wasnt clean but not hotelstyle spotless, same with the maintence, was a few things that should have been looked at, nothing major but things were not "perfect" I would have prefered a bigger shower (Or a bath!) instead of the double sink my bathroom had.

I chose it cause of its wonderful location in Gamla Stan street and old city area the girl who checked me in was very helpful and cheerful, shw got me a map and advised me what I can do in my short stay it is abit expensive but I guess Sweden is expensive anyways :)

The hotel's location right in the middle of Gamla Stan on a quiet street is perfect for tourists or business travellers. Also, just a ten minute walk to the central rail station, which was convenient for me as I had to travel to Solluntuna on the outskirts of the city each day. Hotel itself is quirky and very different to the normal business type hotels that I usually stay. It has a a nautical theme and old fashioned but very comfortable furnishings. Seemed to have an excellent restaurant. When I enquired at reception about booking a table on my last night, I was told that I could just turn up, no need to book. On coming town to the restaurant 90 minutss later the place was heaving and I was told by the greeter that I had no chance of a table. Quality of room service is very poor. Most of the menu was not available at 2230 although it was advertised as 24 hour availability. Ordered cheese sandwich but this this was stone cold when delivered.

Very central for seeing Stockholm, esp the old town Gamla Stam & the Royal palace; good for shopping & lots of nice restaurants very close. The Restuarant was very expensive - but a nice cheaper one along the steet!

Lovely decor with plenty of maritime relics giving the hotel a genuine nautical feel, and well located in the heart of the old town (Gamla Stan). Rooms were comfortable and as usual for Sweden very warm. Small thing - no cereal for breakfast. Locals love cold meats, fish and dark bread for brekkie but as a tourist hotel some cereal options would not go astray at all.

I had stayed at the Victory before and it was just as good service, staff, cleanliness as earlier. Felt safe, relaxed. Would highly recommend this hotel. English and Swedish newspapers, excellent breakfast. Would stay here again and probably will. Did not particularly like the restaurants associated with the hotel. The one called Svinet (Swine) had only one type of pris fixe, a big pork dinner and another one they recommended, also associated with them was limited menu, very fou-fou, very expensive for the amount of food, not very cozy. Their regular hotel restaurant was closed for the summer so have no idea what that one was like.

Fantastic to stay in the heart of Gamla Stan, with well-equipped rooms and a distinctive collection of memorabilia. Rooms are small but still luxurious. Breakfast in the cellar does not offer an outside view.

The hotel has a perfect location in the Gamla Stan, the old city in Stockholm and it is very close to the bridge that crosses into "the city" for shopping. The rooms are a good size, full of "collector's" items (pictures of old ships, people, letters, leather and wood stuff, old rugs) and decent beds with enough mirrors and light. Our only problem was with the shower, one of those hand/stand combinations that would not stay put sufficiently high up and would slide down on its steel pole. The service was good, except that there was quite a turnover at the desk. The breakfast was excellent.

Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, great location. The room was a bit small but that is to be expected in the old part of Stockholm/Gamla stan, I would gladly stay there again.

Charmigt utredning och mysigt frukostrum. Baren utanför fönstret spelade jazzmusik hela natten. Sedan var sängen urgammal och sliten. Helt omöjligt att sova!
