Asides from the location in Old Town, I have nothing good to say about the place. The price of this hotel compared to what you get is just stupid. My bin was broken, my minibar door broken, the room was tiny, shower not wonderful. Seriously, for the money I paid to stay here I could've rearranged my flight and gone home early, and probably had cash to spare.

I chose the Victory Hotel for its location in Stockholm's Old Town (Gamla Stan). We were able to walk everywhere in Stockholm. The hotel lobby displayed antiques relating to Admiral Nelson & so was a museum in itself. The rooms were very comfortable with flat screen tv, a sofa, and well-stocked bathrooms. The breakfast was outstanding with rye bread baked in sour milk, smoked salmon, shrimp salad, etc.

While we enjoyed our stay at the Victory the hotel needs some maintenance. For example the tv would not hold a position on it's stand and kept slumping down. The Shower taps were leeking and I could not stop the dripping. The reading light over my bed was almost off the wall and needs to be repaired. There were a few other things obviously in need of some attention. The location is very good but not easy to get to. But that is part of the Joy of Gamla Stan

Location was great in Ghistorical Gamla Stan. But it is not a five star nor a four star hotel. I say 3 to 3 1/2. Small room.

The location was perfect for wandering the Gamla Stan and surrounding tourist areas, which is what we wanted to do. Breakfast had offerings for most all cultures and were fresh and delicious. All constantly restocked along with a small cooked to order menu. 1 minute walk from Gamla Stan underground and 15 minutes from Central. Taxi from Central was 185kr. Lots of cafes, shops, bars and restaurants right outside your door (and in the hotel). Staff were always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds, hot shower and even a few English tv channels. Based on other reviews I was not disappointed with the hotel. I am used to 4 and 5 star accommodations. The Old Town style was consistent with Gamla Stan's charm and old architecture. Always felt safe, comfortable and content while staying there. You will not find state of the art furnishings here but surroundings that suit it's old world design. Great hospitality and comfy beds make for a suitable rest!

Good location, nice idea / restaurant + cosy courtyard Loved the idea of a skylight window - but loved it less as I could a) not command it without staff's help (no remote in the room), and it seemed to have a life of its' own: going up and down throughout the night... :( loudly. *Staff said there was nothing they could do, but knew the problem* Also: had a wet (?!) bathrobe in my room + fixed temperature at +25!! + a small window that could not be closed > too bright to sleep in the room + seagull by the window at 04.34 (precisely, I looked at my watch... ;/) Regarding the price (even though I found an online deal) the experience was disappointing.

The location in Old Town - great for dining, shopping, museums - in the heart of Stockholm's tourist sights. The front desk was outstanding, helping us with our concerns about transportation to the airport and getting around Gamla Stan. The room was clean but small and modestly furnished.

Location is great, staff was very helpful, breakfast delicious, room was clean and decoration is interesting (old things on marine theme). Shower in one room was leaking, so there was a constant pool on the floor, no slippers (though they were mentioned in the rooms description); safe box in the room is extremelly small (passport size); wi-fi signal was ok, but I had to borrow passwords all the time from reception; some rooms are facing a street and I think it could be noisy there (but when I stayed the road was under construstion&no traffic allowed, so I don't know for sure); but rooms facing other sides are definitely quiet; some things require renovation. In general it's not a 4-star hotel &rather expensive one, but in spite of all small drawbacks I liked staying there

Friendly and very helpful staff, nice rooms and great breakfast. Location is superb, walked there from the central station (1km). It was a quiet stay, even with a big selection of restaurants just next to the hotel. Free internet, but you needed to get (free) vouchers from the reception lasting 6 hours each.
