Collector's Victory Hotel  

Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, great location. The room was a bit small but that is to be expected in the old part of Stockholm/Gamla stan, I would gladly stay there again.

Victory Hotel is located right in a corner of Gamla Stan. Making it out of the way of busy traffic and close enough for everything to be within walking distance. My stay was during winter, just as an unexpected cold front was moving through europe, so location was very important to me. Around the hotel there are restaurants, bars/pubs, shopping, and other hotels.

Parking was provided by a third party valet service. So plan on not being able to retrieve your vehicle outside of the valet operating hours, early flights may be problematic since valet starts at 7am.

While we enjoyed our stay at the Victory the hotel needs some maintenance. For example the tv would not hold a position on it's stand and kept slumping down. The Shower taps were leeking and I could not stop the dripping. The reading light over my bed was almost off the wall and needs to be repaired. There were a few other things obviously in need of some attention. The location is very good but not easy to get to. But that is part of the Joy of Gamla Stan

Asides from the location in Old Town, I have nothing good to say about the place.

The price of this hotel compared to what you get is just stupid. My bin was broken, my minibar door broken, the room was tiny, shower not wonderful. Seriously, for the money I paid to stay here I could've rearranged my flight and gone home early, and probably had cash to spare.

The location was perfect for wandering the Gamla Stan and surrounding tourist areas, which is what we wanted to do. Breakfast had offerings for most all cultures and were fresh and delicious. All constantly restocked along with a small cooked to order menu. 1 minute walk from Gamla Stan underground and 15 minutes from Central. Taxi from Central was 185kr. Lots of cafes, shops, bars and restaurants right outside your door (and in the hotel). Staff were always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds, hot shower and even a few English tv channels.

Based on other reviews I was not disappointed with the hotel. I am used to 4 and 5 star accommodations. The Old Town style was consistent with Gamla Stan's charm and old architecture. Always felt safe, comfortable and content while staying there. You will not find state of the art furnishings here but surroundings that suit it's old world design. Great hospitality and comfy beds make for a suitable rest!

The location in Old Town - great for dining, shopping, museums - in the heart of Stockholm's tourist sights. The front desk was outstanding, helping us with our concerns about transportation to the airport and getting around Gamla Stan.

The room was clean but small and modestly furnished.

I chose the Victory Hotel for its location in Stockholm's Old Town (Gamla Stan). We were able to walk everywhere in Stockholm. The hotel lobby displayed antiques relating to Admiral Nelson & so was a museum in itself. The rooms were very comfortable with flat screen tv, a sofa, and well-stocked bathrooms. The breakfast was outstanding with rye bread baked in sour milk, smoked salmon, shrimp salad, etc.

The decor is charming

The room was fine the bathroom was seriously outdated and the ceiling was very moldy the housekeeping was minimal

Lite tråkigt att betala 2600 kr för ett rum på en bakgård med väldigt låg standard . Det är att nyttja läget när det finns få rum i Stockholm. Hoppas de andra rummen hade bättre standard.

Dejlig atmosfære. Dejligt med lidt portvin til om aftenen. Dejlig lille krog med sofa. Meget støjsvagt.

Det var helt perfekt för oss. Avkoppling, centralt med ett bra läge och även lyxigt till vår bröllopsdag.
