This small and privately owned hotel is situated in picturesque Vaxholm in the Stockholm archipelago, offering fabulous views of the Vaxholmsfjärden Bay and Kastellet Fortress. The comfortable guest rooms at Waxholms Hotell are at guests disposal from 15:00 on the arrival day and luggage can be stored in reception if needed. Breakfast is served in the spacious dining hall Stora Matsalen on weekdays between 06:30 and 09:30 and from 07:30 to 10:30 on weekends.
Waxholms Hotell also has the smaller and more informal café-bar Lilla Strand, where guests can enjoy a relaxing drink or some tasty afternoon treats. The nice, relaxed, comfy atmosphere. Old style with traditional design. The wiev from the rooms with a balcony in front of the harbour with the boats coming & going. The breakfast with a gorgious wiev over the see.

The location is great fun - from your room and from the restaurant you can watch the boats come in and out. The bedroom was rather small. We had hoped that there would be a nice seating area where we could relax and look at the sea, but there wasn't, and as it wasn't great weather while we were there we ended up spending a lot of time in our room.

Maten!!! Fiskgrytan för 195kr var värd minst den dubbla och man ville inte att den skulle ta slut. Restaurangpersonalen! Utsikten från restaurangen. Små mysiga shoppingbutiker runt om hotellet. Väldigt kallt på rummet. Oskön säng som inte gav så trevlig sömn. För den pengen så borde rummen vara bättre standard på!

Läget var fantastiskt, maten likaså, personalen, tillmötesgåede. Lite dålig lukt på rummet. Wc stol satt löst, vi beställde mousserat vin på rummet ,men det glömdes bort, rev sönder ett plagg vid frukosten ( inredningsdetalj I form av eka), enligt uppgift skulle rummen kunna kopplas upp mot internet via kabel, men uttag saknades.

Waxholms hotel har anor och ligger vid hamnen och så gillar jag farygskänslan med alla fina marina prylar. Rummen är små sett mot kostnaden, dyrt för en helgnatt 1295:-.

De koffie was niet lekker.het ontbijt was goed alleen misten wij de Zalm daar een vakancie in Sweden hadden wij dit wel leuk gevonden.voor de rest was alles goed verzorgt.

Trevlig och tillmötesgående personal, bekväm säng med sköna sängkläder, utmärkt städning, god mat i restaurangen och bra frukostbuffé. Vi hade önskat ett par flaskor med kolsyrat mineralvatten på rummet vid ankomsten och hårschampo i badrummet.

Personalens tjänstvillighet och vänliga uppträdande,vilket efterlämnade en vilja att rekommendera det till alla vi träffade.Vaxholms kontinentala utstrålning och det marina livet utanför fönstret bidrog till trivseln.Bra med parkeringen på gården. Avsaknad av hiss.

Läget är det bästa med hotellet, som bäst om man väljer balkong! Härlig vy över båthamn och folkliv (på sommaren) och mysigt kunna sitta på egen balkong och njuta av detta. Varma rum och något lyhört... En kyl på rummet samt roomservice(med möjlighet till frukost på rummet) skulle finnas, så skulle iaf VÅR vistelse få en extra guldkant.

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Fin frukostbuffé. Perfekt läge. Åt en god middag på hotellets "Kabyssen" med trevlig atmmosfär. Extremt lyhört! Hamnade i rummet brevid ett par som inte kunde uppföra sig. Var tvungen att lyssna på deras fylla och skrik mitt i natten. Fanns ingen personal i receptionen kvälls/natte tid, gick heller inte att ringa någon om oväsendet. Visst, vi hade otur som hamnade i rummet brevid gapahalsar, men vill poängtera att det var fruktansvärt lyhört. Vi hörde klart och tydligt de mest intima detaljer och händelser, tyvärr... Mycket tråkig utsikt från rum med utsikt mot gårdsplanen dessutom, rakt in i en husvägg med flera fönster så att grannarna kunde se rakt in.

Ruhig, sehr schön gelegen, Stockholm ist mit der Fähre gut zu erreichen, die Überfahrt ist sehr schön und erholsam vor/nach einem Tag in der Stadt. Freundliche Mitarbeiter, alles läuft reibungslos. Leckeres Frühstück mit schönem Blick aufs Wasser.
