Hotel 81 Palace  

To the Hotel Manager: I would like to bring to your attention the outstanding job one of your staff named Albert Mukkan at Hotel 81 Palace helped me with during my stay with you on the 18th Oct 2011. He went out of his way to help me with my Wifi connection which I was having considerable trouble with. His courtesy and patience in attending to my needs was exemplary. His is a credit to your organisation and I hope that you will pass on to him my congratulations and thanks on a job well. The wifi signal was not good..It was very a weak signal. I had to change hotel location to the Hotel 81 Star which Albert Mukkan assisted me with.

smallest room I have ever seen it could not have been more that 8 X 8 about one foot around the bed was it. The bathroom was so small the toilet and sink were in the shower.

Location - local getto, rooms are old, but with window, but with the view to another windows, so it's better not to have window. Fragrance buggies better even though without windows, because of the location.

The price is fair enough. Some of the employees were courteous and accommodating. To be candid I chose Hotel 81 because I was looking for a budget hotel so I and my daughter and cousins can use the money for shopping and for sightseeing, considering that the hotel is quite far from the city and other tourists spots I was also aware of how much we would be spending for our mrt and taxi fare.

The whole bathroom gets wet when someone uses the shower because there is no partition between the toilet and the bath area. The front desk lady when we arrived was arrogant.The bathroom was not clean enough. Other guests were noisy especially during the night...but I would recommend Hotel 81 for it's reasonable price.

The prostitutes outside the hotel. Close to the 24-hour laundry washer/dryer--very cheap to use. 10-minute walk to Aljunied MRT station.

The bed was awful--hate the vinyl mattress. Hate the moldy and cigar stench in the room. One of the receptionists (guy) try to charge extra for my luggage left behind for a few day. The females didn't do that.

The locate was close to food and the airport

Bathroom was very small Room it self was tiny Not worth the $25 a night...we only stayed here as we were transiting through Singapore and wanted some where cheap and close to the airport. You can find better value for money else where?

It's good enough for it price

Room is small and bed is uncomfortable.

Friendly, helpful staff.Close to the metro and easily accessible. Good, clean, nice size apartment and ok for money.

Very nice staff, good location, close to train station and airport. okey neighborhood, don't be afraid to walk day or night. Free internet. just ask for password at the reception.

Easy excess..near to main road..

Price

It was not the hotel but the area. There was no food available except food for maybe central China. The hotel staff told me that I would have to travel 1/2 hour by bus to purchase Western style food.
