Good room size
The friendliness of the staff! Also there was a laundromat in the basement. Good restaurants nearby!
The breakfast was not included and was not appealing,
The location is great. Near to Sim Lim Square, little India and Bugis. The staff is very nice too. And the room is big enough.
The cleanliness in the bathroom should be improved.
Very friendly porter but the staff at the reception was awfully rude. Free parking.
There was a noisy bar/pub downstairs; the noise didn't stop until about 12am. The ventilation system in the room was making odd noises throughout the night too. Made for a terrible night sleep.
Very friendly hotel, good facilities , excellent breakfast, gym and steam room + 2 Jacuzzis. The courtyard area with bars and restaurants is very attractive.Well situated between Little India and Bugis, Mrt station 5~7 minutes either direction.. Easy walk to Chinatown . If you exit from clock end of hotel there are 2 shopping areas plus food courts which are very good value. Every type of food available .
We booked online and found a deal for a Premier room. Buffet breakfast was included in the price. Location of the hotel is good, being just a short walk to the MRT. There is a taxi rank nearby too. Location is on the outskirts of Little India and their are many places where you can get a meal from a variety of cultures. We would recommend Leo's Café & Restaurant in the courtyard opposite the hotel for a great meal and great service. Room was quite small and with 2 suitcases we found we had to put one in the cupboard and the other on the suitcase rack. Delighted that there was a large flat screen TV in our room which also had extra Foxtel channels, as well as an Australian news channel. Bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower very strong. An Iron and ironing board were also in the room, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Each day 2 bottles of water are supplied at no extra cost. There is also free strong WiFi. The room we had was on the second floor near the restaurant but we found it very quiet. Breakfasts are buffet style and aimed to meet the needs of a variety of cultures. I would rate the meal as average. A highlight of this hotel would be its staff. They were all so friendly and helpful. Always offering a smile. I would especially like to praise Jamal. He is a long term employee of this hotel and was outstanding in his service and public relations. He was always full of advice for travellers, very friendly and genuinely a happy and fun person. He is a credit to the business. On finding out that it was my wife's birthday Jamal even went to the trouble of arranging a surprise cake and together with other staff sang 'happy birthday'. Whilst this is not a 5-star hotel, it is good value for money and has lovely staff. We would happily stay there a second time if we ever visit Singapore again.
Needs some refurbishment.
Room was next to facilty room; very noisy!
This hotel was perfect for us on an overnight stopover. It was close enough to the airport, yet gave us the opportunity to walk around the area, visit Bugis market etc before returning to the airport at lunchtime. The staff were friendly, the room comfortable and clean. The breakfast offered enough choice.
We had no complaints
Comfortable, homey, and extremely pleasant in every way. Near everything we wanted to visit -- or at least near the MRT to get to the places that were not walkable distance.
It's a bit costly for us, but we haven't found an equal or better place that's any less expensive. We'll surely be back!
The location was good, easy access to the MTR and local sights. The Hotel looks homely and inviting, the staff were reserved and not pushy. The rooms were quiet and not to small.
The room was not cleaned with mushrooms growing in the Bathroom. The facilities were not explained and only on the last day did I find the tourist desk. Yes I could ask however you expect to be informed. The room was not the size and layout as described in when booking and although not small was not what I had expected.
The toilet and comfortable bed
No dvd player.
good value for the money
good value & nice staff
excellent location; friendly very helpful staff; extremely comfortable beds - we had 3 single beds in one room for our family with older children and worked out fine. great choice of shopping nearby and walking distance to famous Orchard Road. really good time.
breakfast could have more western choices and better coffee!
the staff was very nice. the pool had awesome view.
Location is just ideal. Its not like typical hotel, here you get feeling of ancient touch with hotels and bars outside. Just five minutes walk and you have 4 to 5 Indian restaurant. Also MRT is 5 minutes away. All these makes a Perfect place to stay.
Should accommodate early check in if rooms are available instead of saying no and making offer to take Executive rooms. Standard rooms should have little bigger and with small movable table in case you want to eat or drink.
For those on a modest budget this hotel is very good option. Rooms a good size; staff exceedingly helpful - though a bit stretched since often playing several roles at once. Didn't eat there but location so close to Little India, there's no need to do that. Immediate surroundings A pleasant pedestrian street with some bars. Would use again.
Maybe could have been a shade cleaner in room. And hot water totally erratic: never really got quite warm enough!
Quiet, comfortable, great staff, excellent location.
Location provides easy access to the action in Little India
Need to set up the lift to the reception floor rather than the floor above
Breakfast was simple and good
Wifi password didnt work Lack of facilities
Everything. So well located. Lovely rooms. Great service. Would stay there again without hesitation.
Very helpful staff. Good value for money.great location.
Breakfast bit disappointing as for Asia standards.
excellent ratio quality\price overall
poor selection of western restaurant in the neighbourhood
