Location and setup of the facility
- Lousy and late check in. Room only ready at 4pm - No map of facility and no one tells us during check in. We were wondering the facility to find the swimming pool. - Big facility and understaff. No staff at all at the pool bar. - Will not come back here.
The rate shown in Booking.com show for 3 person with extra bed, that is 304 and for 2 person is 180. By looking at the description normal understanding is 304 comes with additional bed for the 3rd person, but actually my guest was asked to pay extra for the bed. When my guest say ok, the counter staff reply you should look at the room first before deciding. I wonder why indicate as 3 person and cost more in the first place. Isn't it becomes cheating our money then.

The ambience is perfect for anyone who wants to relax. The hotel staffs were friendly and quite helpful. Location is not very far from mainland.
Sky pool has beautiful view but would be better if theres shelter at resting area. At night, not much lights in the garden makes our walk to the gym kind of spine-chilling...

Room run down and small.
I really like the layout of the rooms, huge comfy bed was really a plus, huge toilet with a huge bathtub, huge room and best of all it was really quiet and peaceful.
I wish the housekeeping had been a little detail in terms of cleaning as dust was seen on the sofa, behind the tv due to the switch for the table lamp was there and underneath the table. For a hotel of that amount of stars could have done with better cleaning. And the swimming pool decks and area could do with a little bit of sprucing up. And the slope leading to the rooms where the fountain is located could really do with a better inviting ambience. I am really wondering why the wifi is a paid wifi? while all other hotels in the same category are having free wifi. The hotel had great potential but really the management of the hotel need to wake up but the staff were great and friendly.
Resort feel and free parking.
Staff inefficient in checking in. It took us one hour just to check in! The shower was leaking, the jacuzzi in the balcony was dirty. It was supposed to be an upgraded room but we didn't feel it was upgraded at all. Room is very expensive.
Rooms and bathrooms are good size though a bit tired.

The personal jacuzzi
The main door and door to the back yard rather hard to open and close. The jacuzzi should have warm water function since it stated hot tub.

Almost everything 1) Rude & Unhelpful Security Guards when we drove to the lobby 2) Check-In: Was delayed by almost 1.5hrs from 3pm because room wasn't ready. I booked an Verandah Suite but was given a Courtyard Suite instead.(because my room wasnt even ready at 4.30pm!) Contractually they failed to provide me my accommodation at the stipulated time at 3pm and they had no sense of urgency when trying to provide me my room. I had to keep hovering over them to check-in! 3) Cleanliness: Shower tiles mouldy at the edges, mini Jacuzzi was murky, mini fridge was spoilt (rusty and mouldy inside - disgusting!) this place needs ALOT of maintenance! Images of the fridge can be produced upon request. Such an unhygienic and dirty condition to be staying in! 4) Non-Hotel Guests not allowed after 7pm: 2 of my friends in a car were told to leave at the lobby/guard house when they were trying to ask for locations to my suite at 7.30pm. Moreover, 2 security guards came knocking on my door informing me to get my friends to leave. TWICE. We had to hold our meeting at the beach! They have such a rigid, unprofessional and rude management. Unbelievable! I am usually not fussy about customer service or general standards at hotels, but AMARA SANCTUARY made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed during my visit starting from my check-in to the end! This staycation was supposed to be for my boyfriends' 21st birthday and it ended terribly... DO NOT waste your money and time staying here,there are much better 5* Hotels around... I have also witnessed many tourists waiting indefinitely for their rooms during check-in (many with luggage, probably after their flight). Generally, is this how a hotel should treat their guests?? Really puts Singapore's Hotel standards to shame!
Staff not helpful enough..keeps on saying 'subject to availibilty' for which I can understand totally but the least a staff should do will be to at least show that they are trying...
