Asphodel Inn  

Singapore is overall a more expensive city in Southeast Asia and I enjoyed that, at the rate that booking.com offers Asphodel Inn, you get more than you expect. The location is quiet and peaceful due to the 5 temples around the area. Towards the back of the building, the hawkers offer a great variety of choices for meals and are open early. The hotel itself is about a 5 minute walk from the Ferrer Park mrt and several bus stops with which you can explore Singapore for a low price, on average about s$2.10 To $2.60 a trip (which includes a $1 deposit that gets returned to you at the end of the one-way mrt trip). Overall, the price, location, cleanliness, and standards of Asphodel Inn are what would make me book with the hotel again in a future trip to Singapore.

The hotel has a late check-in time (2:00pm) and initially had told myself and my aunt to return (after arriving at 7:00am from our flight) for the room to be ready. I understand that the gap was large, but they were able to accomodate us by about 10:00am after we grabbed breakfast and explored the local restaurants and shops. For room clean-up, you have to leave your key and initially when we had done this, we asked for new towels and this was not done, but when we mentioned it at the desk, they offered us new towels right away. Overall a great experience at this hotel.

* Bathroom is not good, need refurbishment * They gotta install few more Wireless router arnd the building, coz now they have only 1 router which is located at the reception desk, so if u wanna USE WiFi u gotta be there infront of the Receptionist... That's weird>> * Furnitures also need a change, as they all are. MUCH MUCH old as we could see>>

Very nice place, cheaper price than other hotel, friendly hotel staff, clean, near the farrer park mrt station very accessible, nice place to relax, they give discounts on your stay if you exceed to the check-out time.

A really small bed - too short for a tall person.

on booking.com the price was advertised as RM344.00 However after going thru my credit card bill - i realised u charged me RM417.00... Pls reply

The courtesy and friendlness of one of its front office staff, ThiThi. She was the only person who answered our queries properly. Otherwise most of the staff were unfriendly and unprofessional.

1. Although the price was not that much less than the other better located hotels but the basis facility required for a hotel was missing. 2. One of the front desk staff was very unfriendly and irritating. 3. Bathroom of the room in which we were staying was the worst. No hand shower, shower and tap always leaking. After repeated request these were not fixed.

1. When I booked the room online, I had given specific choices for the room nos based on my previoue experience. Those choices were not looked at by the hotel staff..They tried to offer the room with min rent for the day..which was not the criteria I was looking at. 2. The communication skills of the receptionist. Very junior person. She could not understand and respond propoerly.

Near to transportation during in Singapore

I think overall location is good, can travel by mrt. But the room is small, not suitable for more than 2 peoples. Toilet is bit old.

The room is very small and facilities are very old and wornout and I consider it expensive even though it is in the budget range.

The Room is good for that price except the toilets which need to improve.

The satff is very freindly
