Air-conditioning is either on or off, without effective control, so can be chilly. However, extra blankets were available in wardrobe.
Doors to bathroom and wardrobe are top-secured only, so tend to bang about as base tracks are not fitted.
Lighting and shower controls are a bit confusing (but water pressure and temperatures very good).
Rooms have no pictures, thus are functional rather than cosy.
The Level 1 (ground floor) secondary swimming pool could have been cleaned more often (as leaves dropping in) and appeared to have little filtration / re-circulation.
The friendly and responsive staff, range and quality of food, 15 mins from Changi airport and free shuttle service (hourly, to/from T1 and T2) are this hotel's greatest strengths. Hotel is not under flight path and outside noise negligible. Harbour-side Changi Point parkland (for exercising, cycling etc) is nearby, as is a wide range of bars, cafes and small shops (for basics). The Changi War Museum is a 10 min bus ride away, while MRT for Singapore city is a similar distance. Journey time to city via bus and MRT takes 50-75 mins, depending on destination. Chinatown took 75 mins, with 2 changes.
The particularly helpful Security and Concierge staff, also responsive Reception and management all helped to make our 2-night stay a happy one.
