Really nothing in this Hotel!

in the first room was the Aircon without swing and by switching on this aircon I have had 2 cockroaches on my shirt. The second room was dirty and also full of cockroaches. This hotel is cockroach farm! The wireless is terrible expensive and has to be used in one shot. This is cheating customers. When I have to buy 2 hours than I like to use the 2 hours as I like and not in one session. This hotel is old and dirty. I will not go in this hotel anymore!

The staffs are honest and friendly.the rooms are comfy and clean...we will comeback definitely to fragrance hotel crystal

no complimentary for basic needs like shampoo and soap, and no wifi in public area

Horrible location, prostitutes every where in and around the hotel and very lousy and unfriendly staff. T.V. didn't work although I told the hotel staff about it and nothing was done. Incredibly bad and very poor room condition.

Good value for money, helpful staff and clean. It is well located to MRT and the airport.Plenty of cheap restaurants and food stalls in the area. Internet cafe close by.

TV only has local channels,NewsAsia and some english channels.Is located next to the 'red light' area. This was not a problem for me but may be an issue for others.

The room.

That they charged for wifi and and it was non smoking room .. They wanted to charge 30$ for it ..

The hotel was decent for a short stay in singapore. The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was clean.

Wish they had a bin for the toilet

I have stayed here during my last trip in nov 2011 and really liked the place.its situated in d vibrant gaylang district which has plenty of eateries which r open 24/7. This district is known for prostitution but if u mind ur own business they wud mind their own. Staff was friendly n efficient. Hotel was neat and clean. Reservation was cheaper on booking.com as compared with their rack rates. Good connectivity by bus or MRT-Aljunaid is the closest mrt stn about 10mins walk

the neigbourhood is a bit dangerous if you have to walk alone at night...especially for woman.

We didn't feel insecure, but the place is located in a small red light district.

Easy to get transportation and food

The area a bit scary for girls/woman because at night there are night girls around, feels uncomfortable to walk pass by the road no bathroom mate inside the bathroom, made the floor wet the room floor a bit slippery when we come from the bathroom even our foot dry maybe because of the mop chemical no fridge (small) in the room the receptionist very seldom give a greetings/smile to the guests paid total instantly at the time we booked not at the time we check-in

The staff name Ted was very friendly and helpful. He shows eagerness in his job. Well done Ted and keep it up.

We booked for 2 rooms. 1 room at 8th floor is very clean but 2nd room at 2nd floor had a lot of cockroaches.. then change to 3rd floor but get a smaller room with broken shower.. All the staff are not smile except Ted.

It's near the redlight district, not good for children. Bathroom rather underequipped and smells a bit weird.

Room of this hotel very bad having lot of bed bugs and after requesting to change room. They give us very old room...........total my experience very bad with fragrance Crystal...........I don't Like to stay again in this hotel

There were bedbugs, I cannot sleep at the beggining of my stay, but since we're very exhausted, we dont bother anymore. The room was not really clean. At the first night stay, they did make up our room but forget to thrown away a beer can at the corner of our bed, dang! Prostitute around the hotel, not really convenient walk, eyes watching.

wifi was charged for $5 for 2 hours. the location red light district area. if you are a woman traveler, its not good for you.

Very reasonably priced; good bargain. The room was very clean - I even felt it was safe to walk around the room barefoot. The AC worked well. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I would recommend if you're looking for a bargain!

The bed wasn't comfortable at all. The mattress was the stiffest I've ever experienced, and the pillows and sheets were poor. The shower was a bit slippery, but that could easily be fixed with mats. We didn't watch any TV, but none of the channels worked anyway. It's in the red light district, and trust me, there's activity all the time. We didn't really mind this - it still felt safe - but if it matters to you, be mindful! Also, wi fi was charged.

Price is very good, considering you are visiting Singapore. Location on a busy Lorong 18 street is good, lots of cheap food courts around and Aljunied MRT station is a 10 minute walk away. Good for a short one/two night stay and traveling on a tighter budget. Rooms are spacious enough and the hotel lets you leave the extra luggage safely locked if you arrive to early or leave late.

Cleanliness of rooms is slightly on a lower end, renovation could be in order, but then the room would be pricier. Staff is so-so and pretty much work by the book, which does not come out as too friendly. Bathroom could use a few more sqaure inches.

Lorong 18 is the red light district, at night it is busy, but it is quite at day time. About 200 metre walk to nearest bus stop.

The room has cockroaches- bad The requested twin room was not available and just gave me a double room without informing me - very bad Air-con louvres are missing, wind directly blowing at the bed and face, can't sleep whole night - worst I have brought a room which I can't sleep in at all... Day 2 I bought a masking tape to stick newspaper on the air- con so that the wind doesn't blow directly at the face :(
