It was quite cheap for Singapore , there are many good inexpensive local eating places in the area. Close to buses, but a 10 minute walk from tube station. A taxi into downtown Singapore is about $10 which is a reasonable cost.It is in the red light area. Internet charges are expensive , was told when i bought 2 hours ( $5.00 ) that i had to use it within 24 hours ,not true it expired at midnight that day and they would not refund or extend even although i had not used it. Some of the staff are a bit surly. Windows in the rooms are screwed shut .There are no fridges in rooms (even the De luxe rooms ) The rooms are very small. You get two sachets of coffee a day (for two people ) and two 250 ml of water thats your lot . I got 2 early morning 4.30am calls that i didn't organise but the one i needed on the morning i flew out never happened

The hotel met all of my expectations which was based mainly on what was advertised at booking.com. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and ideal for people travelling with kids. The rooms were priced reasonably for its location. The staff were also friendly. And although our booking was made online we did not encounter any problem when we got to the hotel. It was in fact, a hassle-free experience.

Convenient place to get to Public Transport, and it is not too far to City. People (guests from other rooms) were talking very loudly and room are not able to stop such sound/voice.

Staff was professional and spoke English well. Check-in was smooth, better than most other places i've stayed. The fact that we had to pay for pricey wireless internet per device. No free internet offered at the lobby either.

We enjoyed our stay in Fragtranceb Hotel-Emerald for its service. The location is so quiet, the room is so clean and smelling good for our 5days at the hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful to us. If i were to come back to Singapore I will still choose to stay in this hotel...and i'll highly recommend it to my friends....

I wonder whether we liked the hotel to give a compliment. Rooms are too clumsy though they have given the superior room with double bed. The bed is too small and we are to be in a very cramped situation. Though I have booked the room well in advance ( and though I got the confirmation over phone from Surabaya where I was then) when we we went to the hotel they made so much fuss they really tested my patience. Why not they behave well?

A good place to relax after whole day circling the city. Although it's a little bit away from city's centre of activities, but still has a good location coz' near to public transportation (MRT n bus). The room and bathroom is clean and the FO is communicative.

It was near kallang mtr station I could walk in 5 minutes.lots of cheap chineese eating places nearby.Safe enough area no problems there.Front desk helpful. Newly refurbished and clean.Large screen tv mounted on wall with lots of channels.Cheap internet shop just round corner main street. Good aircon unit. The corridors are tiled and made the room quite noisey as people entered/left my floor. No safe or fridge in room.
