Fragrance Hotel-Rose

The price and the location were the winner here. I needed to be near the cricket ground and this was perfect.

Flat screen TV with good channels, mostly sports. Reception was bad on some but didn't really matter because we didn't watch much. Cleaning service was good. We enjoyed coming back to the hotel an finding it spick and span. Convenient to get to town as there are buses and train stations. Taxis are easy to come by too. You pay for what you get. It's cheap and we had a pleasant experience.

Very small toilet, hardly any room to manoeuvre. Floor was cold, but since it's a budget hotel we didn't expect any carpets, plus they would be harder to clean. Bedsheets weren't fitted, so they tended to come loose by the time it was morning. There was an omnipresent smell of cigarette smoke on the fifth floor, probably something to do with the ventilation system even though it was a non-smoking floor. We found it mildly annoying but bearable. It was also very cold in the hallway.

The room is small but very clean. Also the bathroom is very small. The room was cleaned every day.

front desk service is slow, unfriendly and not cheerful. No floor towels were given for the bathroom floor, need to request from the front desk. Poor housekeeping, no one checked before guest arrived. All rooms are booked under my name but invoices are printed out one room at a time. Is a waste of time and resources.

Conenient, friendly frontdesk staff who are very engaging and helpful. Clean

the TV does not carry iany nternational news channel eg CNN or BBC

Price for accommodation compared to other Singapore hotels

Location further from main activities than anticipated, but taxi' easy to catch. Bathroom so small that shower was inconvenient.

1] Room to small ( as a muslim I can't even do my prayer. 2] rooms are without windows which can be very dangerous in case of fire. 3] there was no floor mat in front of the bathroom makes the floor very slippery.

front desk is not much prompt & sometimes nobody even pick up the phone.

Well the receptionist really unfriendly also no one willing to help with our bags even though they see us having difficulty to carry our bags.
